→ Ohio Rail Upgrade ← Following the release of Rich's update of Ohio Rail, he was inspired to drag himself away from the pool, set down his root beer float (with the little umbrella in it), and get back to the business of movie making . Below is his masterpiece, a trilogy depicting an afternoon of railroading the Ohio Rail, an activity hauling lumber from Mt. Ephraim to Sarahville Lumber. Don’t forget the popcorn and root beer. 35.9 MB zip file - Downloads Part II: Florence to Sarahville 39.2 MB zip file - Downloads Part III: Sarahville to Marietta, and back to Sarahville Lumber 31 MB zip file - Downloads One of the best, if not the best-in my humble opinion, pay-ware routes available for MSTS is Rich Garber's Canton Route. Chock full of beautiful, photo-realistic, detailed scenery with a plethora of yards, sidings, stubs, and industry for the switching enthusiast, as well as about 75 miles of mainline running for the haulers among you. Not to mention some pretty amazing animation which really helps to bring life to this rural setting. Based loosely on the Georgia Woodlands RR and the CSX in the Northeast area of Georgia, the beautiful rolling foothills of the Appalachian Mountains add to the majestic experience of this route.
Since it's release there has been an abundance of screen-shots taken by those that have acquired the route. During a lull in Rich's life, he took some time to sort through all those posted shots, compiled a collection of them, and zipped them up for your viewing pleasure.

The Cumberland Route. Here’s a shot to wet your whistle, taken during construction.
![]() This time he ventured into the mountains of Kentucky, to follow along the Poor Fork River. Based prototypically on the L&N Railroad (with a few modifications due to lack of necessary information), there will be plenty of industry requiring raw material and supplying finished product to keep you and your train busy. Set during the era of the last days of steam and the early days of diesel, it should appeal to anyone with a love of either type of motive power.
Rich also has a couple of freeware routes available. The "Ohio Rail" and the "East Metro".

Rich also made a movie of Andre Ming's "Arkansas & Ozark Sub". Set in the early 1900's, this route is a must have for the lovers of the steam era. For more information on Andre's "A&O", as well as other routes he has available, please visit his Web Site and Forum.
