MSTSPoker
Created by Geoff Mayo

MSTS-Poker is a small utility that makes it a lot easier to jump around in the Route Editor. It uses a marker file for navigation; either an existing marker file that you already have or you can use Poker to create a new one.
It also has a few other features.

  • Object:
    • The Object tab allows you to alter the gradient/elevation of the selected track or road piece.
  • Curves:
    • A common method of measuring curves in North America is by degrees of curvature. However, MSTS works in different units. Enter the decimal number of degrees in the edit box and click Convert. The radius of the curve will be shown underneath in meters and in feet.
  • Misc:
    • Convert feet to meters and meters to feet. Also includes a scaling feature.
  • Measure:
    • This will measure the distance between latitude and longitude coordinates.

Some say Poker doesn't work very well and will take you to a location outside of the route's tiles. While this is true to some extent, I have found that continued use of Poker seems to establish a memory and after several uses on the same route, my experience has shown that it works about 99% of the time.
Your mileage may vary.

Geoff Mayo, the creator of MSTS-Poker, no longer supports this utility as he has lost the source files and has stated he no longer wishes to re-create the coding.
As per a post at the Train-Sim Forum, found at this link, dated Feb. 23, 2005, he has graciously allowed the re-distribution of MSTS-Poker, provided the original files remain intact and unchanged.
I offer this utility here as per his request, unchanged and intact.
