Backhoes eat a cement bridge

Backhoes with 24 inch jaws chopped up a two lane cement bridge that crossed over a major 6 lane freeway.
It took about 30 hours to remove the old bridge and finish a new 4 lane cement bridge next to the old
bridge going over a freeway that will become 8 lanes wide.
The largest crane West of the Mississippi River placed the precast cement beams on top of the new bridge abutments and used
2 huge cranes to pump the cement for the roadway that was built on top of the beams. The people in the first cars that were allowed to use the freeway, about 30 hours after the freeway was closed, said cement was dripping on their cars as they passed under the new bridge.
To complicate the project, the bridge was built over an old coal mine that was still spilling water from its main tunnel
That project must set some kind of a record.
One of the huge cement pumper trucks had 7 segments that unfolded to reach all areas of the pour.
