2. Game Cheats - What Kind of Cheat?

If you never ever cheat on a RT3 game while playing it, then none of the options in this poll apply to you.

Note: Game cheats include using the game editor to change the settings of the game AND/OR using cheat codes during the game play. Both are considered game cheats for the purpose of this poll.

This poll only applies to the very first time a game is played through. This poll is not meant for modifications on a game that one has already played. Nor does it apply to using cheats to test a trial version of a game.

This poll is a revision of the poll "RT3 Game Cheats - How Do You Use Them?" which was posted on May 15. This new poll will help clarify the responses of the May 15 poll. This new poll is also the second part of the poll "1. Game Cheats - Who Uses Them?".

If none of the 15 options describe your 'cheat', then please post a comment on what your cheat is.

I didn't vote for anything.
I don't know if this would be considered a cheat but sometimes after placing a station or maintenance tower I will go into the editor to try and correct the land deformation caused by placing one of these, although it's nowhere near as bad after the 1.05 patch, it still happens occasionally.

I don't think anyone would consider that cheating. It did not give you any great advantage, it just kind of restored the landscape to what it was before the shed buckled it up

Now, if you used the game editor to flatten a mountain which was in your way....well that's another story.

There was one of the Pop Top maps (I don't remember which one now) I played one time where I did use the editor to 'adjust' a mountain, but I didn't flatten it. I just 'smoothed' it a bit.

Someone on this forum, or maybe it was another forum, used post offices to flatten a hill ! That's wild. If I remember right he started at the base of the hill, right next to the track, and moved upslope deleting each post office after building it. Many, many, many, many post offices later he had flattened the hill.

And...then he posted screen shots of flying trains! Apparently he stopped a train on a hill, flattened the hill with P.O.s and the train was left suspended in mid-air. He posted pics of 2 or 3 trains 'flying'.

Now, is this cheating? Not sure, but it tells me this guy had a lot of time on his hands which he didn't know what to do with.
