PM problem?

Unread postby Sugus » Sat Oct 24, 2009 4:09 am

Concerning my PMs I'm sticking in the following situation:

Inbox: none (cleaned by me)
Outbox: 12
Sent messages: none (cleaned by me)

Why do the 12 not go out? Did I make anything wrong?

Messages sent stay in the Outbox until the receiver reads them. After that, they move to the Sent messages folder.

There are 11 entries waiting in the outbox since October 16.

Yesterday, the number was still 12. For this reason, I deleted the first one and resent it. It has gone into the outbox again, but now it has been sent. Seems that I've to do the same thing with the remaining 11 ones.

(Originally, I was sending 29 PMs at once; 17 of them had been sent more or less immediately, but 12 went to lurk around in the outbox since then.)

Somewhat strange - isn't it?

As I said, messages in the Outbox are waiting to be read. If they remain in the Outbox for a long time it's because the person you sent the message to has not read it yet. Most likely they don't know they have a Private Message, or they don't come here very often.
There's nothing strange about it. That's just the way it works.

You can check the date the last time a member was here by going to the Members link at the top right and finding that person. One of the columns is the Last active date. That will tell you the last time they visited the forums.
