If you notice the index page is named index.shtml which will not open in IE or Foxfire as an index page, if you save the file and change it to index.html it will open and looks like a news "update" with the latest entry of 2007-03-25 not having any menu options. It is missing 2 ["] in...

I agree RRT1 & 2 work fine as they are not 3D graphics. I also had the same problem with SETI when they went from 2d to 3D graphics on their screen saver. All of my old boat anchors (which just run SETI and printers) have 2D graphic and all but they work on RRT1/2 even at 350mhz & 8 mb video...

Why fight against an other company

I think it is like chess's board control. You need to have access to the areas of wealth. If an other rail road has built there you need to also build your RR to compete for the cargo. I also like to connect to their tracks so I can run to places which do not have a 2nd good roadbed. I will even dou...

Video

The only problem I have had with video is the on-board video with the E-machine AMD 2200+ did not have the "stuff" (blue screen type fault) to run RRT3 and some other games, I added a "old PCI video card and it runs well now, even with less memory. The HP AMD x2 works ok with it's on ...

I have also had the same problem with the rivers / large lakes. Thanks for the heads up. I may have to go back to the original map to start over after I get it the way I want as I did add some trees and grass / mountain details. My file size is now 231 MB The original file was 8.18 MB is this also a...

Old Dog Learning new tricks

Hi Hawk I tried to publish it as a web page for those that do not have Excel. It did not lend it self to sorting so I hope the 5 pages each in date order will work for most. If anyone needs it as a .xls file they can email me and I will send it out. I use Excel a lot but not for websites. I also do ...

Thanks for the idea!! I used the territories / region to control the earthquakes to a smaller area and could set the (8.0) to a (6.0) as you get away from the actual fault area. I'm not sure you have to delete the city. Just color around it with a new region. And be a little generous - cities do gr...

Civil War Events

I have added to one of my website a 5 page list of Time line events for the Civil War. I am adding some them as events to the map I have been working on. I have to reverted back to 1.05 level for the map as many may not be running it yet. We can always upgrade it to 1.06 later. The link is RR3 Edito...

Hi Milo I have uploaded the computer specs/data to my website. You can download from below. Specs I think that I may have also helped crash it as I was swapping between the editor and a notepad file to copy and paste. on one CPU and crunching SETI or Einstein on the 2nd CPU. (I though I had s...

FYI, had an "Auto reboot" while adding events to a map. It was the 5th event I had added. I had cut and pasted several blocks of text into the "newspaper" area. Also set up conditions on the first 4 events and was adding the 5th when it rebooted. MS responded as a video driver e...
