Re: Dumb Tourists

Eventually, the other group stopped reading, and one of them remarked, and I kid you not, "Well that looks pretty small to be a battlefield, don't you think?" And then, the other responded, "Well you've gotta remember, people was a lot smaller back then." !*00*! ^**lylgh ^**lylg...

Dumb Tourists

I really don't know why I'm posting this now, but it's a funny little anecdote that occured a few years ago when me and my family were visiting Mackinac Island, Michigan. Here goes... As I said before, a few years ago, we were on Mackinac Island, which is a great place to visit if any of you ever ge...

Re: Track Laying Techniques

Unfortunately, Penn Minuteman, Poptop Software, the makers of the game no longer exist (I think they got taken over by Firaxis, Sid Meier's company). Thus, no new (official) patches are being made for the game, and I doubt that Firaxis would do that for us :-( (I'm also assuming that they now own th...

Re: Autumn Observations In Your Corner Of The World

Well, it's not quite snowing yet north of the border, but things have gotten a little cooler. The leaves have not yet fully begun to change, but a couple are starting to turn to tinges of red and yellow. As for this summer, it was actually pretty normal for what we get. Not too many ridiculously hot...

Re: New Map: Australia All the Way

I played this one through, and I found it to be a pretty good scenario. I only got bronze, 'cause i didn't haul enough ore to the Eastern ports, but I did connect all the cities required for each medal. One thing, I found though is that the events are a little off in their timing to be historically ...

Re: Problem in Tharesia

I played this not long ago, and there weren't very many things I noticed, other than when the game ended, there was no lose event (I couldn't get my PNW high enough). One weird thing I noticed was that the capital, Harwan, where my railroad was based mainly, actually shrank from mid to the end of th...

Re: H&P Railroad forum....

This is truly a shame. As I said before, Steve's site was probably the first one that got me really interested in buying RRT3. The tips and hints were great to get me started, and I also liked seeing some of those "jumping trains" screenshots. I really hate to see that all go. Looks ...

Re: H&P Railroad forum....

What an absolute shame. Steve's site was one of the ones that really made me interested in buying RRT3. When the map archive went down, that was bad, but now this? Let's hope he can cope with this.

Speaking of which, does Steve really come to this forum anymore? :?:

Yeah, I've heard of this, and while the graphics look pretty good, I don't think I'd like to play a ship simulator. I'd much rather play a kind of "shipping tycoon" game :-D

Re: My Next Project-Borduria After the War

Thanks, Ruth, but I still don't think that a map that was created in 1.06 will be able to be transfered over to 1.05. :-(

And thanks to you Arop, for creating this map in the first place, and now giving me permission to use it. :-D

Re: My Next Project-Borduria After the War

Unfortunately, Ned, I've got 1.06 running on my machine right now, and I created the map in 1.06, so I don't know if I can edit the map to run in 1.05. Although, I don't think I'll be using any of the new 1.06 features or anything... **!!!**

My Next Project-Borduria After the War

Hello everyone! First of all, I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who helped test the first versions of Baffania. (0!!0) Without your help, that scenario would have never gotten to the point where it is today. Now to the main point of this thread. I've begun work on a new scenario entitled 'Bord...
