Re: Campaigns, anyone?

It seems really weird that PopTop would design the game to give the option to make a campaign scenario, yet do not actually have a way to allow a player-made campaign to be created. Well, it's not the first time they've done something like this.

Re: Campaigns, anyone?

I just wonder how a player-made campaign would work...would it directly transition to the next scenario in the campaign after you've finished the first, or would you have to go back to the campaign screen? It will obviously count the medal scores in each to get the total campaign score at the end, I...

Re: Borduria After the War

I'm sure when I was creating the AI companies, I only gave them access to the nations that they respectively operated in. Since I've found that they mostly run themselves into the ground, I can't see how each company could have the $6 mill cash (I think) to buy access to all territories. The only wa...

Re: Flaming Express

I've seen this before, but only once. I never noticed how the train caught on fire, but I assumed it was because that train had crashed and the game had somehow interpreted it as a breakdown, and so the train went back to running, but retained the flames and smoke. Either that or I replaced it and t...

Just a random fact, but some drafts of the Declaration of Independence were printed on paper made from hemp.

It was on the Railroad Tycoon Info website, which is where I downloaded it from, but since that's gone now, I don't know where you could find it. **!!!**

Re: Straight track vs careful grading

I typically try to find the straighest route, regardless of grade. Unlike RT2, where trains could take years to go over a 12.0 grade, in RT3, it seems that they have a much better climbing ability. That's not to say that I don't try to find the flattest route, but I prefer to go straight from town t...

Re: Remaking RRT2 maps for RRT3

Well, there's been no replies to this for a while. I still haven't been able to find how to extract grayscale maps, although a google search yeilded something along those lines, but since I'm not a computer whiz, I didn't really understand it. I don't know if anyone else has any ideas, but I'm stump...

Re: Borduria After the War

I suppose so, but since you only get access to all territories when a company is already liquidated and you merge, you could still take over companies that are still operating.

Re: Borduria After the War

I don't know what causes it, but for some reason if you buy out a liquidated company in this game, it gives you access to all territories. I don't know how to fix this other than disallowing mergers altogether, which I don't want to do. **!!!**

Re: Customs house?

In RT2, I remember that the customs house was useful for any train that crossed a border. When a train crossed a border with cargo and arrived at a station, the train would stop and the text would say (in customs). After maybe 30 seconds to a minute the cargo would be delivered, and you would get th...

Re: Borduria After the War

The condition for Arboria (which is the one that is missing) is $50 million in industry profits. This will only trigger if you have connected to the nation of Arboria. As for the ledger, the contract conditions doesn't count how many of the country missions you've completed, it counts how many overa...
