Re: Blender > .3dp import/export script.
Does this script import or export LODs into the 3pd? How do I get more than 1 LOD into the exported 3pd?

Re: Texture Trouble
I have all the updates for Win7 too, but the graphics memory is what RRT3 has a problem with. It looks like graphics memory of 2GB - 4GB is detected as negative while <2GB and >4GB is ok. For your computer, (8192 MB RAM - 512) / 2 = 3840 MB shared + 1024 VRAM = 4864 MB graphics memory. RRT3 detects ...

Re: Texture Trouble
Well, I updated to Catalyst 11.7 but that didn't fix the textures bug. After messing around and reading online I came up with a solution. :-D I'm using: AMD 955 x4, ATI HD 5850 1GB, 4GB RAM, Win7 Pro x64 The bug is in fact caused by how much combined graphics memory RRT3 recognizes. RRT3 can only ha...

Re: Texture Trouble
Actually, that is no longer the case. RRT3 and TrainMaster run without any problems, even with hardware acceleration on, with Windows 7 64-bit. I don't know if it was something AMD did to their Catalyst graphics drivers, or Microsoft with one of their compatibility updates, or a mixture of both, bu...

Bridge Mod
I did this a while ago but didn't get around to uploading. Hawk you're welcome to add this to the site.
This re-textures the bridges. It removes the legs from the steel bridge and changes the color of the stone bridge.

Re: Multiple Stations
I have done this often, like to send traffic from north and east to one station and south and west to another so they don't get backed up. The trick is to put both stations in the same economic cell or square so that they both have the same prices and cargo.

Re: Duke skin + a little help requested
I have the .dds plugin for Photoshop which is the easiest way to edit the dds mipmaps separately. It helps to unpack the original pk4 file with "RT3 PK4.exe" or Pjay's unpacker, I still don't remember where I got RT3PK4.exe from though. Trainskin.exe takes the *.tga files and converts them...

I came across this http://www.mohvisuals.com/EntertainmentMedia_2b.html website while reading the CGTalk forum, wondered if anyone else noticed "Stevemoh" posted there.

Re: DEMs (no this isn't political)
I downloaded the "GridFloat" in a zip file which has a .flt file that opened in microdem. Also I have a program called "mapbuilder.exe" that I think came on my CD which is more simplified method.

Re: Multiplayer OOS issues
I've tried multiplayer a couple times but usually get a lot of delay when building, and different amounts of cargo at the same station. I have decent computers on a 100 mbit network and can play lots of other games multiplayer. Some people have said it works fine for them, so I wish I could figure o...

Shipping at a loss not working
I have been using the 1.06 patch for a while now but noticed that it wasn't letting me ship at a loss. So I reinstalled everything; RRT3 1.00 Coast to Coast 1.04 Patch to 1.05 Patch to 1.06 Everything works but no ship-at-a-loss, so I tried starting a new scenario and editing a new map but still not...

Graphic Settings
I just found that the plus sign in the settings panel gave you the rest of the graphics settings. Was I the last person to find this or is it not so obvious? :D
Now I can turn the brightness up and turn on water effects.

Multiplayer?
Has ANYONE managed to play RT3 multiplayer with two computers on a network? I get the usual problem of different economies and getting out of sync. The only reason I play Railroads! is because of multiplayer, but RT3 is much better if only I could run it multiplayer. Any ideas of what to try or what...

Skinning GP40-2?
Can anyone figure out how to add the GP40-2 to the list of locos in the trainskin.exe program so I can make multiple skins?
I put a GP35 texture in place of the GP40-2 texture and it worked fine but I only get one choice. :(
