Re: Russia Can't get enough troops to win gold
Whad ya mean no stocks issued! :-o I followed Shamough's tips, and it was the first time I tried building industries (paper mills) for several years before building a RR. Weird feeling but it did pay off -not as much as advertised- but it was (is) a good experience. However the AIs are a little aggr...

Re: Great China 4 challenges
I'm trying, really trying... but it's daunting! Just wait, you'll see... :-D (I know the feeling: 'why people don't get back to me?' but, like I said, the forum is just a little sleeply, but I'm sure you'll get a lot of feedback. BTW, I got a few logos from the Chinese site including the off...

Re: Great China 4 challenges
Hang on, there... The Forum is running on slow, but I'm sure your scenario will hit the headlines. I have looked into it a few times just to get the feeling and it is a little.... daunting! (TM is a different learning curve from RT3, and China4 is another ball game again.) The least I can say at thi...

Re: oh! that wooshing sound!
Dat'z Ze prolemo!! No, I didn't quit the game, just went back to the main menu and restarted the map, but... (see my posts above). Some comments gathered by Oilcan in his bible mentions NOT quitting the game altogether, just exit the map by going to the main menu and reloading the same map: resource...

Re: oh! that wooshing sound!
Now for the bad news... The 'silent' file works 90% of the time in either 1.06 or TM, but I had the following problem: Got interested in the Russia scenario by Moebius -great map- with all the tips offered in the forum. The problem was that I didn't get the two ports down south. So, I tried to reloa...

Re: Triple and Quad Track...
That's the one! One of my favorite maps this year...
Must learn how to copy that event into other maps. Like the 'Game Balance' in Oilcan's Bible. Of course it should work for the AI too.

Re: Triple and Quad Track...
Ok, you get the arresting award. (a drawing of Paris? A Nudie by Fragonard?) The 'Phil/Baron' thing was just luck :-D I'm glad he is still around, as so many others have gone to SimCity or such... As for the sheds/towers having to be built again, it seems obvious, but it gets solved with t...

Re: Triple and Quad Track...
This seems to be a recurring idea... I seen the same idea, and the same answers, elsewhere. Obviously, the answers are not satisfactory, so, I'm wondering if someone would show in a few pictures how they do it. :-D In fact, in a larger scope I would LOVE to see someone's else track layout of a well ...

RailTV
This is a French TV channel, basically bilingual French-English but many contributions are multilingual. (Wallon anyone?)
There are about 170 videos mostly about model railroading but not only. You have over 70 hours of viewing!
Here is the link http://www.railtv.fr
have fun!

Re: French (and other) RR history
They are done and uploaded!
It covers the early years of french railroads from 1827 up 1939 and there are three versions: English, French and Spanish.
There's more to come, of course...

Re: Now what after the Great China 4 for TM scenarion..?
I was thinking of a sequence of scenarios, like "the Age of Steam" series. The key thing is interesting, but what would the purpose be for a key?

Now what after the Great China 4 for TM scenarion..?
There was an old idea of running a railroad from the USA up north to Alaska, over the Sebring Strait, into China and on to the Balkans and finally ending in Europe. Tempts you?

Re: Russia Can't get enough troops to win gold
Now, this the kind of feed back I've been waiting for !
Shamough's break down is wonderful !
(I just loaded the Russia thing just to follow his tips, and are they good ! Gives me a whole new strategy to the game !)
Many mercis !

Well, I did well posting this post. I learned that 1) you can upload images without zipping them. 2) The difference betwix JPG and PNG.
Thanks you all

Re: Is this a Bug?
Yeah, whatever...
But I DO get this screen in the game, Nothing to with PNG or JPG.
My question is still pertinent: Why does the menu overlaps like that?
BTW, is it better to post JPG better than PNG?
