Re: New map for rrt3: RAVONIA
Yeah, I saw that in the map editor as well, so it's a total mystery to me. Also, I am into 1936 now, thought it was supposed to end at the beginning of 1935. No trigger?? **!!!** If you prevent the human player from resigning from his original company that will insure that he can't start another co...

Re: New map for rrt3: RAVONIA
I've been working on this one for a bit. Love the thought that you have to actually build in a short time with very limited amount of rail. (Generally I like to run businesses until I have a great deal of cash so I can go ahead and push out the rail, but can't do that this time) One thing I did noti...

Re: Age Of Steam V-Pheonix Rising For Your Review
Let me add my own !#2bits#! This is, indeed, one of the most enjoyable maps I've played in quite some time. Love the restrictions early and the news announcements were a great kick. Haven't been able to medal yet, still trying to figure out the correct balance. I get some real great revenue streams ...

Re: Age of Steam
Finally managed to best this and get gold on Hard. Finally figured out the joy of starting new companies and then absorbing them. That really boosted up the old CBV and PV. Especially once the credit limit went skyward and I was able to start companies owning 100 pct of the stock, forget outside inv...

Re: Mecklenburg & Pommeramia
As for that message, probably a simple map edit problem.
Had the same issue with messages in another map. Turns out I needed to click the button to make it a single occurance (or turn off the repeat occurance, whatever).
May want to check the map editor for that announcement and take care of that.

Managed to scratch up a bronze.
guess it depends on what industry spawns for you and respond to that.
Try try again.

Re: Hauling Freight
Well I did notice a textile mill in the south with a couple of sheep farms not too far out. But that hardly made me enough to really get a good foothold.
Aside from that...

Hauling Freight in Vista
Ok, so is the fact that we have to buy access to the cities pertinent?
I lost terribly on my first outing at this. I have the feeling that we're supposed to haul raw material to the factories, but aside from that I'm lost. Think I got caught up in the idea of buying access.
Well, back to the fray.

Re: Quest V-2
I must have a real blind spot because I'm struggling to get the first connection set up on normal. Just can't seem to get any sort of cash flow going and then the rascals come and tear up my track. :-( Thought I'd use my favorite, industry based strategy but that doesn't seem to work either. Guess I...

I had the earthquake, but no idea what it was supposed to affect. None of my track got destroyed or anything. Not certain what the point of that was.

Re: Mung Hjung - Communist Railroading
After several false starts, I managed Gold on this. Added in 2 NPC's and bought their stock to build up the old PV. Hooked the NPC's railroads together to get some of that income going as well, even as they expanded on. Thank goodness for the lowered access opportunity as I was in a financial positi...

Re: The Zany World of Baffania
Well, this a bit easier. I was able to even get the 2nd territory open, though not in time to really do anything with it and get the 3rd opened up. Still can't seem to get the PNW up to the high levels that the medals demand. Got bronze but seem to have a block as far as playing the stock market. Di...

Has anybody else played this?
There has to be something I'm missing in the beginning as I'm having a real struggle getting any traction on this.

Re: The Zany World of Baffania
Wolverine, how did you manage to get connected so early? I struggled like mad to get access to the first territory, then really struggled to get the money together to hook up to the main port. No bonds really puts the hurts to my general strat. Are there warehouses and piers available? I forgot to c...

You're absolutely right, Arop.
The best way to do it is to make the map that YOU want to play and enjoy.
That's why there are so many maps out there with diverse win conditions. We all have our goals.
Sorry if it seemed that I was denigrating your hard work.![Embarassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)
