Re: Ever have one of those days....

Well...It was just a dead battery. Dad had to come over & jump it, then he went & got a new battery. Unfortunately, I decided to go to work :-( .

Ever have one of those days....

So I get an appointment to get the oil changed on my old war wagon for today. Mom & Dad bring their car over last night (in the snow & sleet) and swap so I have a car to get to work in tomorrow. We get a few inches of snow last night, but nothing major. I go out to fire up Dad's car this mor...

Re: Rolling Stock skinning ideas

Everything is working fine from this end. I really like the new coal hoppers.

WP&P....Did you ever figure out what the problem was with the 2D Pulpwood icon? It still uses the old Goods icon.

Again...Great work on all of these new skins. They really add a lot of something to the whole game.

Re: Rolling Stock skinning ideas

I just got a chance to check out the passenger & mail cars. Great improvement over the plain old blue & white ones!! I'll need to check out the hopper cars soon. If I had any skinning abilities, I'd mod the coal hoppers with some nice READING speed lettering :-D . Great job on these {,0,} .

Re: Handles?

My favorite band in the world has always been KISS. My favorite member of the band was Ace Frehley. I then acquired that nickname in college. Shortly thereafter I heard the song "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead and it became one of my many favorite songs. When I found the magic of internet mes...

Re: Howdy!

I guess technically I'm a newbie.... I've been into trains on & off since I was a kid. My grandfather & g-grandfather were both section foremen for the Reading Co.. I currently have a large collection of their tools in my basement (many still stamped RDG Co.). My g-g-g-grandfather was a car ...

Re: Game crash

On another note, The map I'm working on is based on anthracite coal. I made a detailed map of the anthraicite region (and surrounding areas) of eastern Pennsylvania. The map stretches from Scranton to Williamsport to Harrisburg, over to Allentown. It's a big map...I wanted detail of the mountains t...

I don't know what is the exact problem, but i have noted that new cars don't (may not?) show up in saved games. My guess is that the savegame stores car and other information I was looking for the new Fruit cars in a saved game, but the new Goods & Pulpwood cars worked when I added them mid-gam...

Downloaded again & tried a third time. I made sure I "replaced" all files. I only have one "Produce.cty" file in the CargoTypes folder (I hadn't backed up my files before I did this the first time, so I'm pretty sure I had the new .cty file each time). I still get the generic...

Ace, They should be yellow versions of the default white cars, in both the 3D view and the 2D train list. I take it that the later-era cars look right for you, which means that it is correctly looking for the "Fruit-" named resources; the only such files that I have released are yellow. I...

WP&P,

On the Fruit Car skins you just released....Are the early ones (pre-1900) supposed to still look like the generic Produce car? I'm pretty sure I installed everything correctly.

If an industry is pre-built in the editor, and the date was later than the current game year you are playing in, the profit and loss data will not show. It will show when you get to the date the industry was created and beyond. The year you do your editing can have this weird effect. I'll keep an e...

Yep...I get the little production icons on all of them, but not the financial info. Plus, it's only on certain ones. For example, I can check coal mine A & get all the info, but check coal mine B & get nothing. I can't get the financial info on any of the farms. I seem to be able to get ever...

I just started playing this & it seems pretty cool. One thing I noticed is that when I click on an industry, I can't see if it's making money or not. I can see it in the Industry section of the Ledger, though. Could this be because I'm using 1.06?

I'll need to remember to do that! :)

I just thought there may have been a way to do it through the editor.
