Re: Hard Drive Brands

Talk about a fly in the ointment. I just bought a Seagate external 250 GB drive at Fries. (made in China) They were selling so fast, I stopped thinking about it, and just bought the next, to the last one, on the shelf. I guess they call that acting with mob mentality. I bought the Seagate drive and ...

Re: Needed Canadian Info

Look at your local city or collage library.

Ask to see older books that they have in storage, close to the period you are modeling.

I picked up some old sets of encyclopedia at yard sales. My oldest is 1910.
The oldest one was given to me since the leather cover was not in the best of shape.

Re: Graphic problems with win 7 and RT3

You are saying the game looks better on the PC than it does on the Laptop. Are both running with 7? I'm running with XP. I was thinking about moving to 7; but changed my mind. An hour ago I even dumped Vbox from my system. No need for it now. There is a lot of difference in performance between diffe...

Re: Grafic problems with win 7 and rt3

Some cards have both the old VGA and the new PCI system on the board.
You might try using the Video cards own graphics control.
I found GeForce controls to be a bit touchy, but doable.
Just run the RT3 while you adjust the controls and make small adjustments as you go.

Re: Very sad tonight

During our cats last days she was very quite. On the Res. there was a lot of wild animals that ate cats. Our cat would sit on the back of the chair and looked out of the window. So she learned to be a quiet cat, seeing so many wild animals pass by. Anyway, the vet told us she would have a painless d...

Re: Very sad tonight

I feel your loss. We lost our black cat almost two years ago, when she was between 10 & 11. But, I think she may still be hanging around. I keep hearing the noises she made when she was alive. Tonight I heard something like paws hitting the sliding glass doors behind me. She use to catch bugs af...

Re: change in routeing

Yea but can't you also make quick money by rerouting at the station of departure after the train loads and before it starts?
It is kind of like, beam me to the next station scotty or does that happen in RT2. Gweeee, I forgot.

Re: Hello from Sunny (Frigid) Florida

Grandma Ruth wrote: "The internet? The internet wasn't even thought of when I started!" That got me wondering, just when did the internet start. I know it was alive in 1978. "Invention of the Internet Many people think that the Internet is a recent innovation, when in fact the fundam...

Welcome old timer. I found your post interesting Well! I guess you could call me an old timer as well. I was on the internet when the government controlled it. I guess they still do in a big way. I would sneak into the engineer Dept. after hours to use the computers. Just before 10 PM the army gave ...

Re: Cell Phone hazard

FYI, Each time when I delete cookies and history etc. , I use Google to reset my password and I only have to type "Hawk RRT3" and your site always pops up at or near the top of the list. I've never tried other search engines. When I visit using other computers I have the same results.

Re: rankings for Search Engines.

I heard that if links are added to a post, both sites have a higher rank in Search Engines.
I'll try it. I'm not sure if it will work the way I did it here. It will now be in over 1300 posts here

Re: Cell Phone hazard

Looks to me as if the buck is being passed and the cause of the real fires is not totally known.

To be on the save side, I'm gona try to avoid a static spark, if at all possible, when gassing up from now on.

Cell Phone hazard You should know that: Mobile Phones can ignite fuel or fumes Mobile phones that light up when switched on or when they ring release enough energy to provide a spark for ignition Mobile phones should not be used in filling stations, or when fueling lawn mowers, boat, etc. Mobile pho...
