I think to get the gold on Expert you must win the appeal to the Supreme Court regarding the capital gains tax. I have won gold on Expert 3 times, but each of those times I won the case. One way to hedge your bet is to alternately save the game in 1896. If one game loses the case you can go back and...

You can change the demand/supply number in the editor. It's in the upper right hand corner of the ports/warehouse section. Just go up there and click on it. I don't know how to change the demand/supply proportion though. Another good question to ask, which I never thought of until now-does the ratio...

More Additions and Corrections
Happy New Year Everyone! I wasn't planning on making any more Revisions to Green Diamond, but I have had so many helpfull suggestions that I felt I must fix the problems with the AI's and smooth out some issues. The income tax has been lowered on Easy and Medium levels. The random variable for the c...

I want to encourage you. You can win the game in a straight forward manner, Even on Expert. You sound like me with EPH's Great Republic. He is one of the Senario Masters and he hosted a note in the old Forum about how the game was easily winnable, well I was determined to win that game! I was quite ...

Atlantics should be much much faster
You are right about increasing the pulling power of the G-5. It could also pin your ears back with its ability to accelerate. 70 is a good top speed for it. It should quickly reach that speed with a fully loaded train in a short distance. The Atlantic type in the USA was a super fast locomotive. The...

I knew you could do it. It's all about running a good railroad, plus a little luck. I managed to win by selling off stocks in the other companies to get the required PNW. I am much better at running a railroad than manipulating stocks. I knew that my company had to be paying high enough divid...

I mangaged to get gold on Medium by 1916. The AI's are really unpredictable. Some times they make in the multi-millions and really expand, other times they don't. I had to put a leash on their growth rate or they would literally take over the whole map! Hotels judiciously placed do make $$$. I had a...

Corrections made
I have corrected the oil for kickback event and added some more cash rewards on expert. Also by request of AZ Rail Rat I have added Kankakee to the map. If anyone is having trouble with the game running slow, feel free to look at the editor and adjust the events or I'll be happy to fix them so the g...

Important Feedback
Hi guys, First of all let me give you a few hints. Wolverine -the Mountain Locomotive is provided for you when you download the game in its own file, you do not need to have the loco pack installed. The P-2 Mountain is a superlative locomotive. Just cut and paste the files into the loco files in the...

Did you get your high speed reward?
Thank you very much for the compliment. It means a great deal to me when people are kind enough to take the time to give you a pat on the back or point out where you can make things better. Certain choices you make in the game have a direct effect on how it plays. There are two big rewards for expre...

Can't Win Gold On My Own Scenario!!
I finally played this new scenario just for fun on expert and had a difficult time. I got a bronze on expert. There might also be a problem with the oil for kickbacks event. I just discovered it, if there are any problems let me know and I'll get them fixed ASAP. Just let me know, thanks. ![Embarassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

Still Working On I. N.
I started on IN last night about one or so in the morning. I had to quit because I have to sleep at some point. Sleepy engineers and heavy locomotives are not a good combination oddly enough. I haven't finished the game yet so I can not make an informed comment for now. I read the remarks about keep...

I found Northwestern Pacific challanging and worthwhile
I played on medium and got the silver. It took a few years to get my bank account rolling but that's nothing unusual. I started by hooking up the larger cities and as I had money to build stations I filled them in. For me, the locomotive of choice for the first 10 years or so of the game is the shay...

Review Of Age Of Steam II-Green Diamond
I humbly submit this new game to review and comment. I did a lot of testing with this before I sent it to Hawk and I hope everything flows as planned. I also hope it is enjoyed by all.

More On AI's
If you don't have a role for these AI to play in the scenario, then why do you allow them, in the first place? I hope you were asking me the question. I set up the game to be won in two ways. One the reqular way by piling up lots of cash or .(2) if the human player can absorb 3 of the AI companies,...

You have given me an idea
Ah Ha! What do you think about this? I have been trying to discover ways to control my marauding AIs in this game I am working on. I have set the AI control to conservative track expansion, after they connect 5 cities the track cost goes up 400%, station costs up 250%, then when they hit 7 cities, t...

Raw materials move best with branch lines.
Even though freight moves overland etc. you can make money on it by building branch lines from a town that needs the raw material from the source that produces it. That is one of the stratagies I brought with me from RRT2. In the Age Of Steam Senario, lumber is of huge importance and so if you have ...
