Re: Would you like me to translate italian maps?

Thanks for all your corrections and suggestions... didn't want to cause you more work to do! Thanks also to Ruler: I use to play RT3 occasionally, and I tend to forget maps I have already played  Wanna laugh? I can't get used to use capital letter for "I"... I have to corre...

Re: Would you like me to translate italian maps?

Sorry, I kept the original name to let you identify the original map, as I see in archive that multilingual map has only one name but several briefings.

Anyway, the name would be "Passing the Alps" or "Crossing the Alps" (don't know wich is better suited).

Re: Would you like me to translate italian maps?

I imagine that english speaking people are less motivated in learning other languages cause they already know the most important one. Anyway, I think I'm done with the first map, I attach it to this post... For sure I made some mistake/inattention, feel free to correct them if you like, or just to a...

Re: Would you like me to translate italian maps?

Actually, my problems with capitalization come from a bias deriving from my mother language: in italian capital letters are only used after a dot or for names. The pronoun "io" doesn't need capital (unless it is right after a dot) and for this reason I tend to write "i" instead o...

Re: Would you like me to translate italian maps?

Thanks Hawk, i think it will be better to post the map for a brief revision, cause my english, as you can see from my posts, is far from perfect

I'll let you know when i'm done.

Re: Would you like me to translate italian maps?

Well, i started to work on "Attraversando le Alpi"... but if there is already an english version, tell me, so i stop... Actually, i see also "Italia e Mediterraneo" and "Viva la France" wich have only italian briefing, and "Nord est Grande" has Italian and Ger...

Would you like me to translate italian maps?

I saw a few maps in the archive that have only italian language. Would you like me to tranlsate them in english for the map archive? I only have some questions about it, as i've no experience in map creation/editing: - should I have to translate only briefing + events messages or there's something I...

Re: What are your favorite goals?

In real life you often have to change tack if things don't work out. So the goals you end up aiming for may be different to the ones you started with. The same could be done in an RT3 scenario. Well, actually, the reason why i play PC games is to get rid of pains of real life, so i don't really nee...

Re: What are your favorite goals?

I choose "Connect city/terr. a to city/terr. b" and "Haul x certain goods to city/terr.", and, just to use all 3 options, "Industry Profit". For sure the goel i hate more is Personal Net Worth! I'm simply not good enough for reaching this goal when present, or i'm not i...

Re: New map in the works, but how do you make cities?

RRT3 never stops to surprise me for its "depth" (i'm not sure i've used correctly the english term). And this forum is for sure the best place for plumbing it. I'm really grateful for all the things i learned here about the game. Unfortunately my interest is intermittent, and so it is my p...

Re: New map in the works, but how do you make cities?

Wow, that's a very comprehensive answer, again, thanks a lot! {,0,} I was wondering if there's a way to set the "radius" of a city (not a region) and if it's related to the paint regions tool... And also, if this radius has relations with cities' "dimension" (stars) or if stars a...

Re: New map in the works, but how do you make cities?

Thanks, Ruler! :-D

Can i ask what's it for the "Paint regions" tools? First i tried to use it for creating cities (Regions/cities are grouped together in control panel) but now i know it's not for that...

Re: New map in the works, but how do you make cities?

I had the same problem and i'd NEVER figure the cities creation tool was there, so thank you very much Hawk! !*th_up*!

Now, can somebody tell me how to remove cities? ...i placed a few fake cities just for testing and now i can't find how to delete them... :-D

...may i wish a MERRY CHRISTMAS to the whole forum?

I know it's forbidden to talk about religion, but i'm not even a believer, and i simply love the christmas atmosphere, so i wish you all to have a wonderful time with your relatives and beloved persons.

Re: Newbie from Italy

Nice to see i'm not the only "maniac" about privacy and not the only one who refuse to follow actual "stupidphones" trend :-D I own about a dozen mobile phones (mostly Nokia S40) and actually am using a 3110 classic and a 6260 slide. ;-) I'm laying in them for the future, as feat...

Re: Newbie from Italy

Well, not using the search engine is not enough to protect you from "the big brother"... Tons of websites load code from "googleapis.com" domain and from several other domains owned by big-G. You should use a browser with script blocking capabilities, like firefox+noscript and ke...

That's really interesting, thank you!

I'm starting to understand that RT3 can be played at different levels of "depth", i'm really impressed by the knowledge you guys reached and shared on this forum. {,0,}

Re: Newbie from Italy

Well, i understand, i'm over 40 and i own a couple of forums myself, so i know how difficult is to keep "things quiet" ;-) Hope to have good time on this forum: boards and forums in general gave me some of the best experiences on the net (while i don't like all that "social" *bee...
