Re: North Wales
In the initial briefing, it does state there are no events, but as a guide the objectives could be: Bronze - Connect Holyhead, Caernarvon, Abergele, and Blaenau Ffestiniog, before 1899. Silver - Also connect Barmouth and Machynthlleth Gold - Also connect Bala and Betws-y-Coed The problem is that, ev...

So I'm currently playing this map, found in the archives in the Europe section. Does anyone have a version of this map with actual events? It's annoying because the scenario will never actually end, and once I connected to Blaenau Ffestiniog the briefing changed so I can no longer see the recommende...

I can't see a thread linked for this one in the archive so I'll make a new thread. Anyway, I tried this one for the first time today, on Expert, just to see what the scenario is like. You start in 1829 by default and the scenario states that you have 170 years for Gold, not that you'll need them, ta...

Re: France The Path to Reconstruction
I tried this one again last night, and decided to try it with 0 AI and use Steam, even though it's probably recommended to go with Electrics, on Expert difficulty. I started by buying a few Dairy Farms, then after a few years, ran trains from Orleans to Amiens, via Paris, as there were Electric Plan...

Re: Germantown
I redid this one recently, and recorded the whole playthrough. It took just under 4 hours, but on Hard difficulty I managed to get a Gold Medal in 1874, and I added the extra challenge of connecting every city on the map, which I managed after merging with the final AI, the only one of the 4 that ac...

Re: Mozambique 1936
I beat this one with Gold on Medium yesterday as a first playthrough. A good fun scenario, quite challenging as I only got gold with around 5 years to spare. I connected 75 cities exactly, I bought track either in 200 miles or not at all, and I went with the cheaper track family who rewarded me ever...

Re: Italy 1946
Played this one last night, and got Gold on Expert in May 1965, a few years before the 1971 deadline. This is what my company track map looked like at the game end. I had entirely Electric track, and used Kriegslok and E18 locomotives. Kriegslok are cheap, good all-rounders, whilst E18s are fast, re...

Re: Go West
Just finished this scenario on Hard difficulty. It isn't difficult, so I added the extra challenge of trying to connect every city on the map, including those in Canada, which itself costs $1M for access rights. In any case, I got the option to choose 15% extra passengers or 20% extra locomotive spe...

Thank you sbaros! I can confirm your logo works (although the text is too small and blurry for me to read).

Re: G K B
What I meant by "amazing must play scenarios" are ones that are very well-made, interesting, fan-favourites, or are highly praised by people who play them. Or they are challenging, require special techniques, or do something most other scenarios don't, but in a good way. That sort of thing.

Re: G K B
Just downloaded it and took a look. The GKB logo seems to be sized correctly, and the .dsc and .imb files look ok. I'll load the map in the game tonight and see what happens (got things to do at the moment). Okay thank you for looking into this. !$th_u$! I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly (no...

Switzerland 1950
There doesn't seem to be a linked thread for either this or the Switzerland 1950 map, so this will have to do, but my playing so far is limited to the Switzerland 1950 map. First of all, the map is gorgeous. Lots of trees, lakes, mountains, valleys. Though also brutal! Events that caught me out by d...

Re: G K B
The instructions say to use the supplied Logo_Blank.tga as a basis, which is just another way of saying that all images to be processed must be TGA, and sized to 128x128 before running the application. Looks like someone forgot to resize their images before processing them. Should be an easy fix, i...

Re: G K B
It is about half the correct logo. Did you make it yourself from the link I gave you, or is it the one zipped together with the scenario? In either case, someone failed to size it correctly to the instructions of PopTop's logo creating utility. It was included in the zip file that came with the sce...

Re: Quick question regarding Custom Logos
Why do you want the game to automatically recognise them if they are logos you will rarely or never use? I was thinking more in terms of tidying up my folders, I can delete them I guess, if I get close to the limit. I like to keep things simple. If I'm being honest, I think my question has been ans...

Re: Galicia, map to test
Just tried this scenario. A fun one, but simple. Got Gold on Expert on first try. I don't know what my Lifetime Industry Profit was, but I only bought Hotels, Post Offices, Restaurants and Taverns, I didn't buy any farms or big industry. I had Silver by about 1885 and Gold in 1892. I never had a div...

Re: G K B
https://i.imgur.com/OKJxu6Q.png This is what happens when I load up the scenario. https://i.imgur.com/eI4z8jR.png And this is what I'm guessing is supposed to be the correct logo, that is too large to fit properly. I don't know if it matters, but I'm playing with the maximum number of 5 AI players,...

Re: Quick question regarding Custom Logos
You can use custom sub-folders to stash extra stuff and keep the main folder more tidy. I do this often, and it will work inside any game folder. However, you can't use the extra sub-folders to expand what the game will recognise. It's coded to only look for default folders, and ignores anything el...

Quick question regarding Custom Logos
So at the moment all of my custom logos are installed in my UserExtraContent folder, and I'm aware that if you have more than 100 custom logos, the game breaks. However, is it possible to create a sub folder, UserExtraContent/Logos, so I can tidy up my UEC folder and keep track of logos? I have a lo...

Re: G K B
I just loaded it into my 1.05 games and it seems to work good. I have not played it, yet, but just tried loading it. I started a game to the point of changing the company name to GKB and the logo works fine. Hmm, how did you install the logos? i believe the folder contained PK4 and TGA files, I thi...
