Re: The Great Experiment
Loss of HDD led to loss of data. Recovery efforts have been in place for ~6 months, funding being the limiting factor. Will resume testing once data has been recovered. I had a nice spreadsheet, too. Czar "don't drop your laptop... onto sharp objects... from >4 feet... definitely do not let you...

Re: RRT3 and Windows Vista... a solution
I'm not sure about why or how , but 2 things made this compy like 2 different games formerly not playable in Vista. 1.) SP1. Sounds stupid, I know, but it did what it was supposed to do. 2.) Latest vid card drivers (in my case, catalyst 8.1, IIRC), including OpenGL support AND OpenGL itself. This fi...

Re: Why do my buildings show zero production/consumption?
As for the buildings, I don't know how to fix that for you or what to tell you. I do know that in areas of shared demand for a good, anything that uses that good will suffer from not getting 100% of it, but it doesn't sound like that is your issue. As for Vista, computers, and Microshaft: Personal o...

Re: Illegal to rip MP3s off Cds your own
The real question is, where will they finally realize that it is beyond stupid to restrict things like this? Honestly, I paid for the CD, and while I have yet to fall into the iPod/mp3 player snare, I would honestly hope that in the unlikely event that I do, I shouldn't have to pay again just to lis...

The Great Experiment
I have created (well, modified to an extent) a map for the sole purpose of testing the efficiency of train routing in RT3. I have been playing for a long time, and I still haven't been able to find the "perfect" route setup. I've tried almost everything, and I am looking into finding the &...

Re: RRT3 and Windows Vista... a solution
Thanks Czar. I finally got something better than 1.00 working in Vista. Hey, it's only 1.03, but that's progress. I'll try for more in a few days. I try :salute: What boggles my mind is how some Vista's work with things, and how some don't. You'd think by now there'd be an all or nothing kinda deal...

Re: Handles?
As for Fallout, F2, FT:BoS, yeah, Interplay was the champion in designing those. BoS was less interactive and more "blow stuff up", but a good game, none the less. There is another Fallout, for the Playstation 2... unless you REALLY want to waste your time, or are a REALLY big Fallout fan,...

Re: 5 great lakes
I didn't mind 5GL, I did mind that not all the AI's committed to starting a company. What fun is that? The map and senario, btw, were well done. One of the methods I have used is the AI train capture. Its evil, and not for the feignt of heart. It works best when you have some cash to spare and have ...

Hello there!
I realized that I have done about 4 posts now (one got eaten, so i'll have to repost that) and not said HI! so HI! I've played RT3 off and on since about 3 months after it came out. I've found both the H&B website and forum only just recently, and all I have to say, in one blanket expression of ...

Re: Handles?
Mine came in two halves. Long ago, 'round '95 or so, Interplay released a fantastic videogame, Fallout, wich fueld my fanatsy desires to run rampant in the post appocalyptic world. First time playing, I had to name my in game 'toon. So I turned to my brother and asked what name I should use, he said...

Re: Favorite Scenario(s)?
I don't have one by name right now; just don't think I've found a "Favorite" yet. I'll list some general likes and dislikes of scenarios I've played, both player made and game installed. -I personally dislike the track limiting scenarios, the ones where either you have to stay connected or...

Re: RRT3 and Windows Vista... a solution
Honestly, and I do mean this with the utmost sincerity, I've not had as many issues with Vista as everyone else seems to be having ( Klingon Academy is currently the only game I'm unable to play in Vista. One other has network issues, but I don't multi-play on that one, and a work around is availabl...
