Re: Multiple Stations

You are right. It's not to see at the picture but it snaped, there is a connection between the to lines in the curve.
It looked like a bow first. After that I simply build another branch just before the snap point, parrallel to the curve.

Re: Furnances acting strangely

I guess we are playing the same scenario. That is what I found. According to the strange behavior of the furnace, I take a look at the bty-file. It seems furnace will produce 8(16) items, up to 4(8) ceramics and 4(8) ingots. Even though it looks like it will try to build the highes demand first. It ...

Re: Track Laying Techniques

No, my tracks have been laid in one swift move, no bits and pieces. I've made another example with a foreign double track and my one single track. You can see (connecting costs $75k), that I'm still holding the mouse key and the track is not been laid yet.

Re: Track Laying Techniques

I cannot lay straight parallel tracks either. The trick is a bend at one end and a branch.
The red one is the original track and with the green branch I can go real close, which depends on where I start.
You have to try a little to get the right feeling.

Re: Track Laying Techniques

Here is a track sample from my current play. Important is that both stations at Dallas were placed in the same price square.
So even the AI would not run Dallas-Dallas, because there is no price difference.

Any suggestions, did I miss something or could have done better?

Re: Recommended Mod Tools

I am using DDS Converter 2 to convert the image files (jpg, tga, dds and back).

For example, having some problems with your 'Cereal Company', I converted all tga's and the 2D...jpg into dds,
using binlist2.exe and pack4.exe to create a PK4-File. Voila, works fine.

Re: Reviews of Building to the Great West

-The Logos MissouriPacificRR.PK4 and Logo_Hiawatha2.PK4 in the ZIP are wrong (not used by the scenario) You are the first to report this problem so I'm not sure what went wrong. The Milwaukee & Mississippi should use the Hiawatha logo and the short railroad out of St. Louis is the predecessor o...

Re: Reviews of Building to the Great West

Played on normal and got silver. But the PNW goal was far away. At the start I built to the north first, connecting the AI at Milwaukee. After that I went west following the 'Chicago & Rock Island' route. I bought mainly foreign stocks, but that was a failure. I pushed hard to Iowa City and reac...

Re: Reply to Orange46

I've played this scenario on expert a while ago. Following the path of the Northern Central Railway (Batlimore-York-Harrisburg-...) I won gold at 1848. My revision will also include the route of the Ulster & Delaware (later taken over by the New York Central) which went through the heart of the ...

Re: Athabasca 1905

I've played this scenario on expert and won gold in 1923. Wondering why my camelback only runs 11mph even though the track condition was 98% and I was hauling gravel like hell (patch 1.06, you can haul gravel by loss), I found that the gravel event is not working. It is a great idea to use the terit...

Re: New Scenario Available - WP&P

The scenario chrashes with the pur patch 1.06, when I try to save.

After hours of analysing I found that you need the Penn G5 loco to play this, available on the user content page.
Now its working! For gameplay you should also install the Prairie and Royal Hudson of the loco patch v-1.0.
