Re: Cargo & Industry fixes for 1.06
I never actually tried  to see if a simple replacement of cargo names in the GMP file would do anything. I did try right now, with no luck. It seems that reference to a cargo type is only made one time (assuming there are no pre-placed buildings/ports supplying/producing that cargo). Which se...

Re: CPU train spamming
Is anyone else using this fix full time or part time? What changes to the AI have you noticed?
So with this fix they no longer multiple trains. But unless they start near a gold mine the AI goes belly up within a few years.
Disclamier: I do not use AI very often.

Re: Cold War Colorado for v1.06
My playing is far from impressive. Actually, depressing. ^**lylgh Not able to cnn Den to Leadville by 1944. Tunnel is not financially possible. And the track thru Royal Gourge "chewed" away at revenue rapidly. Ran 4 Class A1s. DEN to Boulder back to DEN. Den to Castle Rock back to DEN. CS...

Re: Cold War Colorado for v1.06
For future reference to anyone else this is what your buildings folder should look like. CWCEP1.jpg Your Electricplant.bca goes into the already created 'backup folder' in 1.06 CWCEP2.jpg when you are done with this scenario just move electricplant CWC.bca to the backup folder and put electicplant.b...

Re: Evil Genius at work
6. Using modern money values, it cost about 7 million dollars to lay one mile of track. Let that sink in a moment. Seven. Million. Dollars. First, I had to ask myself why did it cost so bloody much to lay down some logs with skinny rails on top. I'm still looking into it, but I think I have the rou...

I'm not aboard the hype train for driverless cars. They scare me. Maybe this is partly because I don't trust car manufacturers. (*!!topic Remember at first it was not the Car cos. pushing this tech. It was google & other tech cos. Plus before car one of the ways people got home was a trol...

Re: What are your favorite goals?
I hate PNW... If I wanted to play stock market crap I'd buy a stock market game or play the real one. Most everything else is ok. Some specific cargo hauls suck if the supply/demand isn't right though. :-D !!jabber!! I'm not very fond of PNW either. I like playing where there is 3 or more AIs with ...

Re: Cargo & Industry fixes for 1.06
Ok, nick my ships idea and make a model of whales for the oil wells and one for a station. Put them out at sea. Then you can skin a loco as a whaling ship and a station as a dock, and have your whaling ships going whaling and bringing back oil. :-D GENIUS! !*00*! This MUST be done :D What version a...

Re: The 30 or so new unused cargos in 1.06
They're hidden. 8-) They are stashed in the .exe but you have to make all your own .bca and whatever else files for them. Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. So, let's say for simplicity's sake, I want to add fish to my Port "supply only" (thus avoiding the need for a new building),...

Re: Evil Genius at work
That is worthy of a gold star for better idea. Hacking the GMP and replacing cargoes in the 2nd stage buildings sounds scads easier than decompiling and recompiling the EXE 400 times to get my idea to work. :D The 1.06 cargo types folder can only handle 52 cargo.cty files in the cargo types folder ...

Re: Cold War Colorado for v1.06
Only just started playing the map. There was little high-value cargo ready to haul so I went for a cautious industry start. Many farms were discounted at game start. Also, I can buy them anywhere, even in territories that I don't have access to. Main thing I wanted to report was that I selected two...

Re: Evil Genius at work
^**lylgh I was just looking through what MIlo wrote, and found this in his NOTES.txt file. 5c8de0 is the first of a long built-in list of buildings. I smell duct tape. Referenced at 41029F and 41EC17, both times passed to 5A57CF, but swapping places with the other operand. More evidence that 5A57CF...

I wish car technology would have moved as fast a cell phone tech. Driverless car should have been here by at least 1995!

Re: Potential Scenario.
Yes WWII game would take some serious though. Perhaps it could be a slow date scenario? Plus you need to avoid overkill with destroy / confiscate railroad thing. I've got a ready Philippians map that has few events as of this moment, currently set in 2016 but I'm entertaining the idea of running tho...

Cold War Colorado for v1.06
My third map release is ready for beta testing. Cold War Colorado. This one is fast paced, challenging & event-stuffed like Madagascar & the Bermuda Triangle. Like the other two you need good with PNW and pay attention so you do not lose track of time! I have an optional building.bca file bel...

Re: Corn ... I need CORN
Corn farms are a real ***** in this game when it comes to seeding. If corn does not want to spawn in nebraska, tough luck. But it will NOT be left out of downtown Miami when it comes time to seed In my built senerios!

Re: Evil Genius at work
Back on track: In January 1800, there are no housing units on the map and no industries. Cities may have no civic buildings or, if the scenario data is above 100%, may have more than one might have guessed. As far as supply and demand economy in January 1800, there is none. However, that rapidly ch...
