Re: Hello everybody
(*!!wel Hi! curious how many other players regard the dynamic price model as the best feature of the game for gameplay longevity? Everyone, but not directly. Way to much to explain. RRT was played by to people who could care less about trains, or a little kid could play it, not have a clue their do...

Re: Two New Train Games
Mashinky must play a lot like like Transport Fever trains do. My biggest issue with Transport Fever was the industries are scattered all over the map, instead of in cities like IRL, RRT & RE. So your end up with a spaghetti rail system. And don't get me started on how the industry up/downgrade s...

Re: Rolling Stock skinning ideas
This gets me thinking what if (hoppers) there was a way (Hoppers!) for the game to call multiple models at random for the same cargo. Like If a train above had 8 loads of weapons, it could call all of those models below even the default pop top artillery guns.!

which according to the edges of the map puts me through the Earth's crusts and into the mantle. Still works fine. They got rivers and lakes down there. Who knew? Wouldn't the rivers and lakes be steam if it were as hot down there as scientists say? ^**lylgh I'm tempted to make a sandbox w...

Re: Municipal buildings: are added demands worthwhile?
Back when I was out of work I tried to change just a few cargos, but it snowballed into an entire Building/Cargo Mod! http://hawkdawg.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=4017&start=20 Every single building under went massive changes to their chain. I even brought Trainmaster buildings & carg...

Re: RT3 on GOG
I have had the GoG version for awhile. But, I only installed it properly (have many installs with various executable etc. files) on my old machine that doesn't need the Vista Fix . . . Until NOW. So, I wasn't using the GoG executable file with dgVoodoo. Turns out that when patching the blurr...

Re: RRT3 with a modern mouse
Hmmm? I just tried it, holding down the Shift key, and saw no difference. With or without the Shift key I still get the gradients and cost of track. Nothing more. Nothing less. What do you get that I don't? I can still rotate the camera with the RMD and scroll with the arrow keys. Plus with my mous...

RT3 on GOG
This thread is dedicated to those that have trouble with the GOG version of Railroad Tycoon 3. I got a new rig a few months ago with no disk drive. (not sure where my external disc drive is!) So I decided to download RRT3 from GOG. The first thing I noticed was there were No water reflections, so I ...

Re: Two New Train Games
Just to let everyone know that there is a pre-re.................. Good I need something to replace Transport D̶i̶s̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ Fever. Mod Support? Do the trains stall?/Do they alert you if they do? Will a broke down train clog the main require a rescue train? Will your employees walk out on...

Re: Custom 1.06 Newspapers: All you never needed to know!
I finally read the poorly written Wikipedia article about the Tsavo man eaters. The more logical number was about 30 men were victims. Makes me wonder how many men lions killl in a regular year.

Re: Custom 1.06 Newspapers: All you never needed to know!
Good. now I can rewrite the event about the lions that killed 135 railway laborers! The way it is written it sounds like two lions killed 135 guys at the same time.

Re: Coast to Coast Remake Beta
This is not a Coast to Coast remake, this is your own version! Name it something else. You do not need to follow the CtC script, Create your own. Only thing That I can tell will be trouble is the lack of logging camps. Plus marking every peak, valley & river makes the map look bad when you zoom ...

Re: Africa & Middle East v1.06
I just started playing this one too, and my biggest "gripe" is that the AIs can't do anything but sit there and lose money because they don't have territory access. If this could be fixed it would add a lot to gameplay by opening up the possibility of takeovers to gain territory access. I...

Net Neutrality?
Does anyone have clear understanding of what Net Neutrality does & what it means for this USA based site? From reading the dumbed down articles of the interwebs it just says ISPs can now provide hammer lane & granny lane service to websites. Our current Big Corp. Overloads are the googles &a...

Re: Some other bugs in 1.06?
Does anyone know whether the Game Message functionality was intentionally removed from 1.06? I'm trying to make a set of events to notify me when the beginning of the fourth week of December comes around so that I can adjust dividend payout in scenarios where the stock market is disabled (so you ca...

Re: Africa & Middle East v1.06
Water (need for a bridge) is defined by the little squares (16 of which make up an economic cell). When the grid is on, even if unconnected track is prohibited, you can always find the water cells by hovering your cursor over them. Look for the notice "Invalid Position Over Water." This c...
