Re: Gotthardbahn (BETA)

I don't play the first beta of any map. but looking for issues in your map I did not find much. the reigon seeding is perfect( I did not look at the towns, the town seeds) towns are spaced. In the area of the town that starts with Siegel the river and towns south of it have not been smoothed out. Yo...

Re: Machine Shop issue in 1.06 patch

We are misleading our investors. It should be 600÷160=$3.75 in revenue for every $1 spent on supplies. That's big money. The T&D is something I never realized but 170÷40 is $4.25! If rrt is giving tjat kind of return then it's okay to use that chain above! I never play. Before 1860 due to lack o...

Re: New Holyland Beta

Since beta #2 has only been downloaded twice by RoR & a mystery man. If mystery man will speakout I could do some cleaning up & send it to archive. Sending a map to the archs with feedback from one person is a bad idea!

Re: Africa & Middle East - Goals?

For the record I never tried playing this map. It falls under the category of not polished enough. There are too many nice maps to play, I never seem to run out of options. I can imagine that passenger numbers and revenues are insane with all the cities and early start date. Another comment...

Re: Africa & Middle East - Goals?

IMO, there are different reasons to do anything to the map and events. Yes, there are 165 cities and 24 territories, all have a function. I know it is a boring game after a bit, with all the interruptions of what is going on in that time of the era. But hey, I sometimes learn much about world histo...

Re: Machine Shop issue in 1.06 patch

Does anyone who is active use the downloadable building above? It's cheatin' to me. At least the coal-iran-ingot part. Coal (raw) 30+iron (raw) 30+ ingots 100= 3 machinery (200x3=600) 160 to 600. Lots of money in that! Instead how 'bout - 1 ingot (100)= machinery (200) 100 to 200. Makes machinery mo...

Re: CPU train spamming

I think I figured something out for the version numbering. Naming is important! The version number is only read from an exe called "RT3.exe". Now here's the tricky part: it doesn't have to be the exe you are using . . #3e3e57 . The way I have been using this is that I took a copy ...

Re: Africa & Middle East - Goals?

Anyone have an idea how much faster the game would run with just 4 territories vs 24? I love the effort the guy put into drawing thr boarders. So I don't want remove it unless it's worth it. Because of its size it will be a limited event map. So no events will be testing against all territories.

Re: Africa & Middle East - Goals?

I'm going to do a 1.06 revision of this map. Or to better describe it a mass deletion! I've already slashed the city count by at least 66% and removed their leftover reserve cells. Plus I've started to work on re-seeding the regions. Next is to get rid most of the 165! events! 165! AAnd he used all ...

Re: Agriculture in Trainmaster

That multipler deep in the .bty files IIRC was used for houses and municipal buildings. IE commercial building demanded paper 1 ,2 or 3. Ok. Thanks for that info. So, that entry (041 777, decimal address in bty file) is for when you use multiple bty files (Commercial building has six) with the same...

 TBH, I think Ned just went too quickly there. Re: New Holyland Beta

Ray, are you playing the latest version? It's easier and has bugs fixed. IMO, the transfer option is best used near the start to help gain fast ownership. I'm talking about $500k company cash -> player, in the first year. Start tips/spoilers: 1st year should be over $1M profits, if you connect Tel ...

Re: Holyland Beta for 1.06

Guess that I am doing better than OilCan, as in 1986 I do have $250M, but of the same comment, I don't see how it would be possible to get another $750M for the required $1B. Mathematically that is. OilCan's $750M? **!!!** However, a very interesting scenario, even with those "mountains",...

Re: Holyland Beta for 1.06

I have stopped at 1986 with a PNW of $25M. I don't see how I can ever reach 1 billion in the remaining 20 years. I think I can reach $250M, but that's just a guess. I did not choose to add the new industries, instead staying with the default 1.06V industries. My industry base was just beginning to ...
