If you colour the ocean as pure red (255-0-0) then mapmaker will put in the oceans for you.

Re: Are Nedfumpkins locos still being made?

To answer the original questions, yes, I am still working on TM and making new things, albeit a lot more slowly now. TM was always designed to allow perpetual development, and not only by me; anyone can add new things to TM. I am in fact busy lately, since I am in the middle of renovations and don't...

Re: Writing Events

There's only one difference between TM and 1.06 that I can think of.

You mention that 1.06 and TM allow the adding of buildings. By this I assume you mean via event. This is true, however, 1.06 allows the map maker to permit the player to build municipal buildings and warehouses, TM does not.

Re: Revamping the old campaign and scenario games

I'm editing the map to always have the coal port, but put it in Middlesbrough and to always have a coal mine in Newcastle. Coal was found right on the Tyne and shipped straight off the river until the first rail was built which was used to get the coal to ports on the Tees (the river Middlesbrough ...

I'm going to ask a dumb question here, but what's the difference between 1.06V and TM in the event's editor, besides the list of locos and buildings? Does TM have some conditions or effect statements not found in 1.06V?
For the purposes of events, TM and 1.06 are the same.

Re: Guide on how to write RT3 events

I fully agree with Wolverine, but you guys are getting ahead of the game. This tut is for beginners, so keep it simple. Mathématical variables is for later :-? . That's why I am suggesting that the complex events be as an appendix to the main Guide. I'm thinking that if a novice follows the Guide i...

Re: Guide on how to write RT3 events

Ned, I'd be more than glad to include any events your suggest, even your 'complicated' ones. :-D I'm going with the assumption that the person reading the guide know very little to nothing about writing events.....so I'm trying to explain every step. I'm using screenshots to show the event followed...

Guide on how to write RT3 events

Oilcan, reknown author of the all time best-selling hit, A Handbook to RT3 - 2010 , is considering authoring a companion tome on writing events. Let's help. --------- How to write seasonal and weather related events will be my contribution to an appendix for complex events. I suggest an appendix for...

Perhaps we could all help by suggesting events to help out. I'll certainly type out some of the complicated events I've created so you can include them, stuff like seasonal things, etc.

Re: About converting map from RRT3 to TM

I never use cheat codes so I can't answer anythng about that. In the editor you can set how much cash a company has. Just go to the company detail and there is a place to set company cash. Make sure that you don't have a special condition to prevent starting companies, also make sure your player can...

Sorry, I only checked the first map. Not sure why the second crashes but TM does not like 1.06 maps at all and that could be the problem.

Re: About converting map from RRT3 to TM

Always look for the error message since I tried loading a map and you still have a cattle ranch on the map. TM uses argicultural communities.

Remove the farms from the mpas and they should work.

Re: SUGGESTION: Railroad Map Archive

Next question, I have a bunch of Pennsylvania maps from the mid 1800s that cover railroads, canals, mines, minerals, flora, etc of various kinds. Would it be better to zip as one package rather than a gazillion individual maps? I downloaded them to recreate an accurate map of the Lackawanna Valley f...

Profit. It all comes down to that word in the most general definition you can imagine. A common mistunderstanding is that a corporation is a person. In some legals senses in some countries, it may be accpeted as such, but corporations are completely amoral. Only the people who run them have morals, ...
