Wonderful video, great song and the meaning comes through no matter who sings it.

Re: The Great Experiment

It may well have been a RR2 map as I say I have only a vague memory of playing it and I was frustrated because I had trains zooming around all over the place and cargo still seemed to pile up. It's not a big deal, if it was a RR2 map then I probably cleared it out a few weeks back when I was tidying...

Re: Railroad Tycoon 3 - Trainmaster Alpha 1

I was at the optomestrist today and had drops put in my eyes, so things are kinda fuzzy for me tonight. I go to get examined by neuro-opthalmologist in June. Ned if your new machine is a laptop then take it with you, from my experience with opthamologists you will be waiting for about an hour after...

Re: Railroad Tycoon 3 - Trainmaster Alpha 1

8 months of work 1 Alpha upload 3 patches to get things sorted out. Zero feedback. Ned I am a player not a mapmaker, but I would ask. How long does it take to become familiar with a new set of industries ?, and how long would it take someone learning these new loads and supply production demands ta...

The old guy has a strong will to live, in spite of his condition, which is pretty bad. I I once dropped everything and took a same day flight to see my brother who was only given 24 - 48 hours to live. after two days he opened his eyes and asked what was for breakfast, he lived another 6 months, bu...

Good for you! Is it !*kiss*! !*kiss*! or {,0,} {,0,} that's made the difference? Lets see now, without !*kiss*! !*kiss*! ,then I don't think I would have made it but {,0,} {,0,} , surely helps, sometimes when you need a miracle He listens. I no longer have bad days, every day is a good one. ::!**! :...

Re: What Game Difficulty Level Do You Start With?

I tend to start over several times to see what's spawned and I save a lot so I can go back to an earlier year once it's all gone pear-shaped. Don't you wish you could do that in real life? I don't know about you Ruth but I am having a second shot at life right now, and let me tell you its pre...

Re: Are you still learning ?

I think this process is what keeps the game alive. When you think there is nothing more to learn, something sprouts that you never saw before. Although for me, it seems forgetting what you once knew is becoming more of a derailment. So I now have to double learn *!*!*! I know exactly what you mean ...

Are you still learning ?

It struck me as I was writing a comment in the poll re the level of starting play, that here I was writing in a forum about an "old " game that I still enjoy enormously. This game is 6 years old and I purchased it on the day that it was released because I was a big fan of the previous two ...

Re: What Game Difficulty Level Do You Start With?

I play on expert because its more fun that way and, if I play a difficult scenario, then I actually feel as if I have achieved something when I get gold I would not get the same feeling if I played on easy. I will also replay scenarios that I have enjoyed, trying different techniques to reach the go...

Re: The Great Experiment

I tend towards using single track and the daisy chain system combined with small hubs that have 3 or 4 cities connected I will then put hotels and taverns in the hubs and if it gets busy double track between the hubs. Now this has got me thinking, I seem to remember a scenario where the goal was to ...

So I've gotten back into playing RRT3 and I downloaded this map...again. Years ago I tried to beat this scenario (on normal difficulty) and had some significant trouble. I've come back to it and tried twice today and have so far lost both times. Its really the cargo requirement thats killing me. An...

Yep that was the way to go, its pretty tricky laying track up that mountain but if you persevere and use tunnels it is possible. and don't forget that city in the top left corner.

Re: Somewhere in Pacific

Well I bought into all the territories and connected about half the cities met the 100m industry but failed on the PNW, I am pretty sure that on the next try I will have the gold. My one big flaw, was to not check out all the territories when I started to move off the original island, I have this te...

Re: Changing The Game Controls

I figure the person who made up the scenario has balanced the game play and It would be a cheat to alter the way it is set up. So I never ever change the way the scenario is laid out and I play on expert just about all the time, [that's because the expert setting used to be the only way you could pl...

I tried Google Chrome expecting it to be faster than the competition but I was not impressed, it was much slower than firefox. I uninstalled it after only a week and made a note to try it again when its out of the beta stage.

This sounded like it would be a nice simple map for a change so I thought I would give it a whirl, but something screwy seems to be happening. I am hauling Meat to Great plains and its not being counted and I am hauling steel to my second Great Plains station and the steel is not being counted and t...

Ruth this was a lot of fun and I enjoyed playing it. Of course I had completely forgotten all that I had read about this scenario in your "request for beta testers" thread, so of course I got booted out by Big Jim. I started the second time with a little Tycooning and I played the game wit...

Re: Default company logos and players

The logos have always seemed a little lame, the user logos are superior to the in game ones, however I do like the players, the US ones anyhow, they are rooted in RR history and its nice to see them.
