Re: Which of these islands near the USA would you like to visit?
Hey Gwizz I'm with you, I went to Victoria last year to visit my nephew, its a lovely place to visit and for you its only a ferry ride away. Hey the best part of the trip will be leaving your umbrella in Seattle it doesn't rain anywhere near as much there as it does on the mainland.

Isn't it weird, to buy a bottle of Jack Daniels you have to be 18 to 21 years of age depending on where you live, but here they are putting 120 proof alchahol in front of little kids without a thought. Hand sanitizers are not necessary for young kids, its very difficult to build up an immune system ...

Re: Borduria After the War
Not doing so well this time around, I didn't build rail on the island but took over the other AI, but the tasks haven't kicked in, last time as soon as I built a bridge to Arboria then I was notified of the $50 mill IP, and then when I connected to the next country I was told of the 30 loads of lumb...

Re: Borduria After the War
I am playing this scenario right now, the first time around I did get the haulage and the Industry requirements I found that I had to go the industry route at the start just to get going, so meeting the Arboria requirement of $50 mill IP was no problem but I ran out of time before I could meet the l...

Re: Dispatcher Wanted
"The only reason I did not force connected track to be built, was to make it easier to plan and lay track, and I almost never ran trains on split track. I wish RT allowed you to build unconnected track, but only let you operate on track that connected to your starting city. But, it doesn't.&quo...

Re: Dispatcher Wanted
This time it took me 33 years,I played a 1959 start and I used a Camelback to start and moved to a Northern as soon as possible, I used Northerns until they were no longer available and then moved to GP35 . I don't split my track up early in the game. I thought that the name of the scenario was a li...

Re: Dispatcher Wanted
Hmmm it seems to me that something a little screwy must have happened here. When I start a new scenario I save before I place any track I learned to do this because of a tendency of mine to not have enough money to buy a train. I had started the game on expert but I am sure that on my restart the ga...

Re: Dispatcher Wanted
I played it using 1969 as the start date and it seems there is a little glitch, I had 85 mill CBV after 19 years and it didn't give me gold until the start of year 21. I like having the choice of trains but I don't think you need to give out the extra 200 thou those first two or three years. It was ...

Re: Dispatcher Wanted
Did you use the default start, or anther year? Originally, 1829 was the default, but I found that later years were prettier using the new car sets, and 1969 became my favorite, which I'm still playing, but on track for gold. The latest version should be just as hard on expert. I used the default ye...

Re: Dispatcher Wanted
I just finished playing this and I struck gold, I only made it by the skin of my teeth, but I put my success down to the fact that I have been trying to get my head around Crystals and Cotton for the last three days and I have been beaten up pretty badly, but it was fine training for this scenario, ...

Re: Atlantic, Ohio & Missisippi
I played this yesterday and today and I had pretty much connected up all the towns by 1902 and purchased most of the industry also, so from then on there was nothing to do so, I spent some enjoyable time riding around on the trains, about all I did after that was build a tire factory and a couple of...

I'm all for trying new things...but eating insects is not quite what I had in mind. Although you always hear that they're good for you...protein! lol There was a warning stating that you should not eat the food if you were allergic to shellfish, so don't laugh, if the world population keeps growing...

Of course that was news to me I thought all little girls loved pretty butterflies. So tasting bugs was out of the question for her, the mi...

For some reason there is a particular breed of Pedestrians that seem to think that they are invulnerable. Many years ago I read an accident study from the UK that said a high percentage of pedestrians saw the car that would hit them and they still stepped out, pretty much like the guy in the clip.

Re: Removing an AI Investor
The only way to get them to sell is to pump up your stock price by purchasing stocks with your own money not company money and then you end up buying so heavily on margin that when the ai l sells, the stock price will drop and you get a margin call. The only solution is to make sure that you control...

Re: Now a real quiz I made up
I took the quiz set by WPandP and I was the Great Northern, now here is the funny part. I was quite pleased to hear that the Great Northern was a very successful railroad that made it big legitimately and without subsidies, I even did a little mental fist pump. Why couldn't I have taken this quiz 40...

Well that was most enjoyable, I started off by merging with highland and then the Phoenix RR, bought a textile mill and an iron mine by The Gallup area, I bought the iron mine so that I could build steel at a later date, it was important to secure a nearby supply even if it lost money. At the start ...

I know, I had that American dream too, work hard and all sorts of good things will come to you. I worked hard where are all the good things ??? Of course its obvious, my share of the good things must have been part of the shenanigans of Bernie Madoff or Muzak. Thanks to all you fine scenario writers...
