Re: Drums of War

The name sounds familiar, so perhaps, sounds like a bit of a play on words, haha it rings a bell, yeah maybe I did, the name sounds like something I´d come up with. Names just like the railraod company names, are a hard thing to come up with, any good names that is. **!!!**

Re: Drums of War

Ahh yeah, of course, I know thats what you meant - with the time given :) I completely agree about that time is a factor, and you can spent hours upon hours modifying strategies and testing whats most efficient. I do admit when i can see everything is rolling just fine that i tend to slack, like mai...

Just want to further comment on your comments @Ray of Sunshine - because truly this map is extremely beautiful. With a fantastic mix of coloured terrain, floods, mountains, volcanoes, the ocean - everything. It got it all - and funny monkey sounds too! !**yaaa Normally this type of challenge definit...

Re: Limited Track and AI

Definitely. I´ve been thinking this too, but always was let down due to this was no the case. Are you having difficulties with a specific scenario though? I remember when i played one of the harder ones, the Southern Pacific, i just abused the Ai tracks by connecting to them where i could save a lit...

Re: Eastern China

Thanks -- i fixed it now though. apparently by reloading my save and deleting the railroad from shanghai to beijing it worked - not sure why. Seemed like a little bug near the rails. Oh well. Got the gold now on expert, but such a weird glitch. *!*!*! Uploading it would probably also show more than ...

Re: Eastern China

Anyone but me had a bug in this scenario? I had over 30 autos, clothes, and toys hauled, and over 100 each of iron and coal hauled, and Shanghai and Beijing was connected - the ledger said all this too. But still no gold medal - i actually got a loss after the 30 years dispite checking a million tim...

Re: Drums of War

Thank you soooo much RulerofRails for that excellent, long post. You´re a great great guy! I really appreciate this! !$th_u$! On to your post -> I wish there was quadrable track or triple track in this game or something. Or they made rt4 with this. But you can get around it by later in the game dele...

Re: Big Valley For Your Review

I gotta have a try at those maps Yellowstone, Hexum etc that you mention. Oilcan certainly seem to both know how to make excellent guides aswell as scenarios huh? You can say his fuel economy must be "near perfect" :P Definitely a really good way of looking at it, like what you´re saying. ...

Re: Drums of War

antso22, good to see you have been enjoying more maps! !**yaaa I have completed this map in the past, but didn't give it a write up. I must say that the Poptop guys did a nice job of painting maps, I guess they were paid to do it. Only recently with the method of painting maps from satellite image ...

Re: Drums of War

Really good point @Wolverine. What I did was choose the better credit rating, borrowed 10 mill and had 16.5$ millions on pause. Then i bought a mix of industries, and access to all countries, and then slowly tried finding a balance so i could make money, pay off all the rents, and still do the goals...

Re: Big Valley For Your Review

I know this as so many others is a quite late reply. But just wanted to share my extreme LOVE for the AOS scenarios, its just pure nostalgia and pleasure. And i love all the little dialogs and options there are. Its just wonderful. Even tho ofc it´s easy to know that when you get an offer for paying...

Re: Pacific Northwest

antso22, that's an impressive first strategy post from a seasoned tycoon! Welcome to the forum! I also find many of the large haulage goals tedious at best (playing honestly). Cheating and spamming the system is so boring that I haven't used it for years. But, upon your recommendation, I will try t...

Re: Pacific Northwest

Seems like a lot of people are struggling with this scenario. Personally this is one of the few i really enjoy of the "deliver XXX number of YYY ressources to ABC towns/areas. Basically because if it´s only about hauling, you can easily spam stations a tiny bit further on the railroad line, and...
