Re: How do I get rid of these numbers on the map?

Thanks Gumboots. You're right, they go from "0" close-up to "4" at distance. Keypad "*" got rid of 'em. Also I saw a noticed where you figured out heightmap coding in the GMP files...great work. I hope to be able to use it at some point. Glad to see you back too Ruth. Y...

How do I get rid of these numbers on the map?

I was playing a scenario and must have accidentally hit some keys on the keyboard because I all of a sudden got a bunch of numbers showing up on the map (and any other map I bring up after restarting the program). They change from ")" at far distance view to "4" when I zoom in to...

Re: Remove existing Cargo?

I did that, except it keeps stopping in January of each year so I have to sit there and restart it. Isn't there a way (hack) to turn off the automatic pause at the Dec -> Jan turnover? I think I remember when one of the versions came out it didn't stop and there was a simple hex edit to get it to st...

Remove existing Cargo?

Hi all. I've been away for a long time, and with the "Stay-at-Home"/Work-from-Home conditions in Michigan, I'm finding I have a lot of time to devote to things other than work. The semester is over and my workload has decreased dramatically, so I've returned to the only video game I play. ...

Re: Creating a Map from Digital Terrain Data and Google Maps

Greaat work Gumboots :salute: . I especially like the way you've color-coded places that are below the range of the elevation table (green) and those above (white). Makes touching up the stacked BMPs really easy as long as the layers are in the correct order. {,0,}

Re: Creating a Map from Digital Terrain Data and Google Maps

Saved with a couple of MicroDEM's default colour tables I get an image with around 100 colours. Highest point on the map with the 2 units/metre height modifier is just over 1,000 units, which equates to 500 metres or so. 100 colours into that would give a 5 metre height resolution, which is what it...

Re: Africa & Middle East v1.06

I just started playing this one too, and my biggest "gripe" is that the AIs can't do anything but sit there and lose money because they don't have territory access. If this could be fixed it would add a lot to gameplay by opening up the possibility of takeovers to gain territory access. It...

Re: Multiple company tricks.

When stock splits, overall stock value increases. There is always a price jump associated with any stock split. This means any stock you hold will be worth more after the split than it was before the split. This in turn, seems to me to mean that if you are going to sell off half your AI stock, it w...

Re: Net Neutrality?

The biggest problem I see with not having NN is that in many areas of the country the consumer has no choice (or very few choices) in which ISP is providing service. As a result the ISP is free to do what they want and the consumer can take it or leave it. The infrastructure of the internet should b...

Re: Some other bugs in 1.06?

Does anyone know whether the Game Message functionality was intentionally removed from 1.06? I'm trying to make a set of events to notify me when the beginning of the fourth week of December comes around so that I can adjust dividend payout in scenarios where the stock market is disabled (so you can...

After a lengthy haitus from RT3 I finally got back to playing RT3. Looks like you guys have been busy for the last two years with new locos, maps, and other mods. Glad to see that there are still at least a few diehards out there. Played this one over the last couple of days, and it's a really fun o...

Re: Cold War Colorado for v1.06

Finally finished it. Made all haulage requirements easily, some 2-3 x what was needed. Only got ~550 troops even though I had many dedicated trains for them; they just didn't show up in quantities that allowed me to make the goal. Hopefully your adjustments will help in this respect. I did run acros...

Welcome Juriko. If your a RR Tycoon junkie like the rest of us you'll find this site enormously useful. Thanks for sharing your Latvia map. I'll have a go at it after I finish my current play of Cold War Colorado (which may be weeks at the rate I'm going). !hairpull!

I did go back and restart keeping in mind that I needed to retain control of my company. I'm most of the way through it (in the 1990's) and although I made the coffee and autos deliveries I probably won't make the electricity generation quota. I built 2 nukes next to the uranium supply depot, and wh...

I didn't know they had trains like that in Poland. *snork* ^**lylgh Once on our way to my grandparent's house in Detroit, we passed a car wash that had a sign that said "Polish Entrance" and I wondered aloud why they made people from Poland use a separate entrance. Just goes to show that ...
