Re: Dry Lake - Beta Version

Nice to see that I'm not the only one who missed a medal at the first try. :-D Fulfilled the iron loads (for Bronze), but didn't it concerning the PNW. Nevertheless, it IS a great scenario - absolutely what I prefer to play! !$th_u$! OilCan !**yaaa

Re: New map for rrt3 v1.06 Dawonia (beta 1)

I played it - as usual when trying a new map - on normal ... and got Gold in 1920. Somewhat surprising was the beginning, because I first had to get the access rights for Dawonia, Sylvania, Borduria and Rawonian, each for $0! (in words: zero dollar!) arop: what's the idea behind that? Also there are...

Re: New rrt 1.06 map: Cane Island

Played it (as usual) on normal - no problems detected.

1898 all cities connected
1912 Bronze conditions fulfilled
1918 Silver conditions fulfilled
1925 Gold reached

Maybe some boni would increase the fun ... but well done, arop! !*th_up*!

Re: New rrt3 1.06 maps Wishlist

I prefer phantasy maps like Borduria, Lawonia, Arboria, etc. - i.e. most of your creations related to the "Others" section.

My favorite maps are Hexum, Fosse-Lyes-Hottmudd and Scrimshaw (o.k. by Taleisin, not by arop :-D )

Re: New map: West from Chicago (beta 1)

Same story as Hawk described! I never had any saving problems with arop's maps - except with his first version of Great Southern RR. In that situation I started to install any additional locomotives ... and the problem disappeared. (That's the reason why I told arop to enumerate all the locomotives ...

Re: New map: West from Chicago (beta 1)

Did it this weekend and ended up with a golden medal as you can see in West_of_Chicago_Beta2.jpg Maybe the boni concerning miles of track could be extended to additional limits of 20000 and 25000 sections, or the limits changed to 5000, 15000 and 25000. Anyway, I think the scenario is now well desig...

Re: New map: West from Chicago (beta 1)

Very likely will play beta 2 within the next days. Nevertheless, a short inspection via the editor shows, that the intro text talks about a bonus for 4000/7000/10000 miles of track (as in beta 1), but the related events check for 5000/10000/15000 miles! :salute:

Welcome aboard, cheminot !*th_up*! Seems that you're a French speaking RT3 fan not really ready or motivated enough to create scenarios. But note: there are a lot of scenarios waiting to be translated into French! All you have to know for that is some "copy and paste" between the RT3...

Re: How many trains can RRT3 really handle?

Earthquakes may be a reason for RT3 to crash. I remember having this situation with a former XP machine but I do no more know the scenario (likely "The Dividing Range"). Whenever the earthquake triggered, RT3 crashed. As soon as I disabled them by means of the editor, the map was playable.

Re: How many trains can RRT3 really handle?

thietavu, I've played your great "China Ultimate" using RT3 Patch 1.06 some months (years?) ago and slightly remember about "problems" concerning the big number of trains. Running 400, 500 and more trains really starts to slow down RT3 - I trapped into the same situation - also &...

I didn't yet consult the editor to look for it by myself.) arop, I've played any map from you before and never...

Microsoft limits both dircetories "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)". The first one is related to 64 bit applications and the second one to the good (?) old 32 bit ones.

Re: New Map: Egypt 1854-1904

All's well that ends well! :-D After some unsuccessful tries months ago I gave it another one last weekend - on easy and in the German Patch 1.06 version - and progressed up to Egypt14 STS.jpg but the trigger for the (golden) medal seems to be in winter sleep. I inspected the map by means of the edi...
