A Very Late "Happy New Year"

I'm sorry about being late wishing everyone "Merry Christmas and a happy New Year". I have been out of the country since Dec. 16. My wife and I went to California to visit her son for a few days. We got to see Sea World and the San Diego Zoo :-) . We left San Diego on the 20th and rode the...

I like that one, or the Northwest would be nice. I can't get Sue to win the lottery either.

Found something interesting

I found something interesting while reading my Trains mag. There is a new rail journey company that is setting up shop. It is going to use the now defunct Grand Luxe railcars. They haven't gotten all of the dates and times set up, but it looks loke that if it does work, there are going to be some ni...

My next 2 weeks

I am going to be gone from the April 20th through May 6th. My wife and I are leaving on a cruise to the Panama Canal. I've already booked a train excursion in Panama. I'll try to bring back a lot of pictures.

Re: Hard Drive Brands

I guess I'm going to be a fly in the ointment. My son's computer had a 350Gb WD hard drive and it failed. I mean it gave no warning, just wouldn't work. I replaced it with another WD hard drive and all is well.
I guess I'm the exception to the rule.

What my mother taught me

1. My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE. "If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning." 2. My mother taught me RELIGION. "You better pray that will come out of the carpet." 3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL. "If you don't s...

Re: I did it now

Call me old fashioned but I DON'T LIKE LAPTOPS!!! I've played around with it a little. I like XP better. I haven't tweaked it to my liking because it isn't mine. I got it for my wife so she could take it to her mothers. So far I've tried to set it up for a dummy to operate (me). I think I'm going to...

32 vs. 64 bit systems

What is everybody's take on a 32 bit system vs a 64 bit system. I am wanting to upgrade my computer sometime in the next year and I was wondering about problems with games, printers, ect. Also I would like to hear any suggestions about the difference and whether a 64 bit system is worth the trouble....

Ed
I'm sorry to hear about Debbie's father. Please let her know that she is in my and Sue's prayers, as are you.
I'm also sorry that I didn't find out sooner. I've been sort of tied up myself.
You know if there is ANYTHING you need, all you have to do is let me know.

Re: Finally, OJ behind bars!

I know exactly what you mean. I had a nephew that was stabbed to death in 2004 (I think), and they put him under house arrest until the trial. He was found guilty of manslaughter and the defense attorney tried to get him off with time served  . I mean time served under house arrest ? Th...

Installing A Husband

While this may not be the right forum, I thought that it was close enough. INSTALLING A HUSBAND Dear Tech Support, Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operate...
