Re: Google and the NSA

Never trust the government. Having read through thousands of FBI documents concerning COINTELPRO-New Left it is amazing how the government will use anything against you and be very petty. The FBI would put smoke bombs in a college ventilation system to try and break up a meeting of a New Left party,...

Re: Grafic problems with win 7 and rt3

I don't have win7 so I don't know any solution off hand, I wonder what people have in common on their systems that don't run it properly. I once had a game that wouldn't run properly when I tried to install in on a dual-core and I had to turn off hyperthreading. It seems fairly simplistic for it to ...

Re: TM - Juice Train

I run Firefox as my main browser, along with AdBlock, FlashBlock, NoScript, and Download Helper ( you can download videos from YouTube and watch them on your hard drive instead of allowing Flash to run ). I also have Opera but I prefer Firefox. I just use Opera and IE 7 to test my web site jobs. Ha...

Re: How do I submit a map?

You might want to upload it to the forum (in a zip or rar file) under the RT3 reviews section, and if it's the final version and not a beta I think Hawk adds them to the RT3 map downloads part of the site.

Re: TM - Juice Train

Thanks for the information Ned. I think I'll just forget my desire to prevent anyone from building sugar refineries. I'd rather they still be able to build any other industry they want, at least at this stage in the beta of the map I think I'll want to leave the ability to build industries. As build...

Re: RRT 3 - Trainmaster

I'm sure Ned will answer this more tomorrow when he sees it, but in the interim I'll answer. The latest edition of Trainmaster is available in the NEWS section of the Trainmaster Forums. Specifically this link: http://hawkdawg.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=2279 There is a download page link in...

Re: Central California

I've tried to load up trainmaster three times and blown it every time, so I have decided that it will be much easier to wait until its all finished and invite Ned to dinner so he can show me how to do it. If you're interested in trying Trainmaster, I could probably come up with some instructions wi...

Re: Central California

I guess I could add some links here for free photo editing software. Obviously the free ones aren't as good as something you can buy like photoshop, but for converting a TGA to a JPG they work fine. Photofiltre - http://photofiltre.free.fr/frames_en.htm It's a pretty small program (2mb) and you can ...

Re: Central California

Are you able to open the TGA files? I think any photo editor software (Photoshop, photofiltre, etc) will open them as well as quicktime/quicktime picture viewer. One of my computers doesn't have any photo editing software on it, so I open the TGA file with quicktime and then resize the picture to th...

Re: TM - Juice Train

The latest update on the map. I was going to use turn off the industry in the industry editor and then use add event's to add sugar refineries, which would prevent them from being built by the player but still give you a few sugar refineries to use. Unfortunately, if I turn off the Sugar Refinery in...

Do you mean i386? I think I have 1 computer with XP professional that doesn't have that folder (but I have restore cds for that computer) and on this Dell laptop without restore cds I have an i386 folder, that's around 840 mb. I've never tried copying it to a new drive and running it so I don't know...

Would I need 2 variables? Instead of: Territory Variable 1 = YTD Loads hauled to territory ("Yearly total") then Territory Variable 1 + Territory Variable 2 ("Loads since Inception") Territory Variable 1 = 0 Is it just be possible to do Territory Variable 1 + YTD Loads hauled to ...

Re: TM - Juice Train

I hopefully took care of the problem of NYC becoming too crowded and have two decent locations for placing a station. Option 1 is on the main rail line, and next to the furniture factory. Option 2: would be in Manhatten. The advantage of option 2 would be that it covers some extra commercial buildin...

I don't know if they were built or not but the list was in the first post of what WPandP intended to create, his website says they are still "coming soon." My intention is to create the following: Stock Yard - for Livestock Hopper Yard - for Bauxite, Coal, Iron Icing Platform - for Alcohol...

Re: TM - Juice Train

Thanks for all the editor advice and help Edbangor. I'll definitely improve the ledger and get rid of the yearly updates. I'm currently working on that now and it should hopefully look better. The territory lines around Tampa and New York and Florida will be gone in the final version as well. They w...

BTW: Loving the map, although having all the those messages popping up at the end of each year, gets a little annoying especially as they are just before the ledger... Is there a reason why they aren't on the ledger. I assume you're referencing things like the Produce shipped in Florida, and the fo...

Re: Hello and help please.

As Ned said the vista fix is a different download than the 1.06 patch which is a fairly large patch. Version 1.06 introduces some new engines and cargos and as such 1.06 maps will not work in a 1.05 version of RT3. If you plan on playing a lot of 1.05 still as well as 1.06 you may want to consider h...

Re: TM - Juice Train

I completely forgot about the Rail Yard Structures. Eventually I think I was able to get the bottling plant producing around 11-13 loads a year. I think the highest I got it was at 13.5, although I don't think I was able to sustain the 13+ loads of food for many years in a row. And I was using more ...
