Re: Western fruit express
Yea, thanks, I figured as much, but I wanted to be sure because I don't recall seeing a readme with a list of restrictions, or in the scenario summary.Orange46 wrote:

Re: Just saying hi!
If I was to do a new RRT3 map, what would it be about? What hasn't been done yet? I'd like to hear some ideas. How about a scenario about laying tracks in Antarctica. Random events such as avalanches, thinning ice and polar bears would ne neat. And the only industry to start might be oil wells or m...

Edbangor and Orange46 -
Thanks for your replies!
I have scenario specific question.
For some reason, I am not ale to purchase businesses. I've clicked on a number of places and none of them have an offering price.
Was this intended, or am I missing something?
Thanks,
BC

Re: Western fruit express
I just started this one last night, predictably beginning on the east coast. I've built up a healthy passenger and mail business, but it's the 4th year and it's not healthy enough to traverse those west coast mountains. A general RT3 questions. Does the ecomomy "seed" differently each time...

Re: Hello to all
My wife spends much of her time on the computer as I do. She enjoys gaming as I do, just different games. No, she doesn't think I'm crazy, not yet anyway. (0!!0) Boy, I wish my wifed liked gaming. She does mind when I play RT3 though because it's not violent. I've lost track of the number of times ...

Yep, that's right! Simcity was the inspiration for this idea.OilCan wrote:Are you thinking of a tool like in SimCity games? That would be helpful.

Re: New Feature Idea - Level/raise land
The only question would be, to ask if it would create smooth lowering (ie it would also lower the tiles surrounding the one you want to lower) or if it would turn that tile into a cutting with sharp sides as would be more the usual case I was thinking of "a cutting with sharp sides". This...

New Feature Idea - Level/raise land
Thanks to Grandma Ruth for suggesting a poll. !*th_up*! The game already has a bulldozer that allows you to level buildings. What would you think of a new feature that would allow you to level, raise or lower land? This would be an "in-game" feature (not the editor) with associated costs a...

Re: Idea for a new minor feature
Very interresting to see a desire for an RT3-magician being able to shrink mountains and create lakes  - hmmmm ... really lurking around in the right thread (forum)? Well, The game already has a bulldozer that can level buildings, why not level land as well, just like in the real world... ...

Re: Idea for a new minor feature
Folks have long used the buildings like the Post Office for terrain-modification purposes. It will flatten out an area big enough for its footprint wherever you place it, and if there are other buildings nearby it will try to come level with those, otherwise it will just terrace where it is. To fla...

Re: Idea for a new minor feature
Thanks Hawk, But doesn't the editor operate "outside" the game. That is, changing landscape in edit mode doesn't cost you anything in time or money. Is that correct? I was thinking of it as an option within the game. ...Having to weigh the cost of flattening terrain vs building over, makin...

Idea for a new minor feature
It would be neat to have the option to bulldoze/flatten/level terrain. (like in SimCity)
No more worries about elevation...as long as you have enough cash.
Thoughts? Is this possible to program into the game?
It would be a great start to version 1.06.1

Re: hey
The only problem is, where do I go before DAL? Cause there's no way they'd let me in right out of flight school (in fact they require something like 1200 hrs and 1000 MEH. (multi-engine hours)). I'm thinking Delta Connection, but, that's a group of airlines. It'll be a matter of choosing which. A r...

Hi Bradley,
Welcome aboard!
I live in Mesa for about 4 years back in the late 90's.
Have they built a rail system yet (of any kind?) There was strong opposition to it at the time.
