Re: anyone into old school Rock 'n' Roll?!
Yea, those are good bands. My favorites come from the 60s, 70s and 80s. I stopped listening to new bands after the early 90s. some I like: Eric Clapton, Led Zeplin Jethro Tull, Cream Jefferson Airplane/Starship Pink Floyd. Iron Maiden Ozzy Ozborne, Dobbie Bros Steely Dan, The Police/Sting Elton John...

Re: Price of Parts
Yea, it's amazing how stores can still do that. I guess they're counting on some real lazy customers.
Especially with the internet, anyone with just a tiny bit of effort can find what they need at the lowest available price in seconds.

Do you place misc buildings?
Inspired from a recent post... Other than water towers and repair facilities, do you place hotels, post offices, breweries, etc? Which ones and why? I did when I first started playing, but I just don't find them a good return on invested capital. I will place a factory near raw material or a busines...

I'm "glad" to see that other people find this map chellenging. I thought I was missing something.
Personally, though, I'd rather not build other industries. The game is about railroads after all. And I also feel like I'm cheating if I modify the orignal scenario.

Congestion – An idea and question
Last week, I was playing a game where I had 4 trains arriving at a station at the same time. The obvious solution would be to build a double track. But in this case, that only solve half the problem. (because I had 4 trains but only two tracks) So I had an idea, and I wonder if anyone else has tried...

Hi,
Just a quick heads up.
The intro to Ed land has a typo.
"naglect" should be "neglect"

Re: $18 Billion per year!
That space junk won't hurt anything... all it is is cotton and wool. It's my missing left sock! I got lots of missing socks, I figure they gotta be somewhere. Geosynchronous orbit makes sense, don't it? :-) Styrofoam was the cause of the last shuttle disaster. Just think what cotton could do.... :-D

Re: $18 Billion per year!
What if the piece is actually important for something like uh...landing? Then they'll be spending a lot more time on the space station... Space is big and dark. Besides the shuttle and space station have thousands of parts. Do you really expect them be able to ID all of them quickly? Or maybe some ...

I was disappointed with Sid Meyer's Railroads too. I can't believe the "dumbing down" of games in recent years. Railroads was no exception. BC But other than that I just assumed it had the 'hollywood' bug Hollywood bug = dumbing down. Whatever you call it. All eye candy, no gameplay depth...

Thanks Kevin. Does this apply to version 1.06 as well?KevinL wrote: The minimum car load is 0.5 or more. A train will not take any car load of 0.4 or less.
I thought it was possible to ship consist at a loss, so I'm surprised that there is a restriction on load size hauled.

Does anyone know the number of passengers in a full car?
Or any other info/tips they care to share?
19 views and one reply. Hmm, did I say something offensive?

Some Newbie Questions
I have a couple of newbie questions that I thought I’d accumulate on one thread. The number of units of cargo a train car can carry is 2,000. How many “units” of passengers can each car carry? (Obviously you can’t fit 2,000 people in a single car) Just to confirm, when demand/supply of a certain ite...

I've been looking all over for the no CD crack. Can someone please point me to it?citizenvish wrote:
1) I installed Railroad Tycoon 3, followed by the C-t-C expansion, and then the 1.05 patch followed by the 1.05 No-CD crack, and then the 1.06 patch. Have I done this correctly?
Thanks!
