Gmail is my primary email account.
Blocking my Yahoo account is probably a good idea. I'll never use it again for mailings with Yahoo being as bad as it is. This is not the first issue I've had with Yahoo but it is the worst and is one of the reason I've moved to Gmail.
My Yahoo account is still open and I check it about twice a month. It also contains years of important stuff I'm slowly moving and filing elsewhere but, until then, it's just a dead end email account that I never use anymore. I just happened to check it today and found, not only your e-mail, Ed but,...
Hi all, Listen, if you've received any e-mails from me that haven't been of a specific nature about something we've been discussing then they are probably spam. If the SUBJECT matter isn't clear, DO NOT open them! I did not send them! I don't know how these have gotten out but I'm blaming it all on...
Now, it's story time. I'll try to keep it brief but, I need to 'put you there' first. We had some very devoted players and they would even come in costume occasionally. They all tried to, 'get into character', as best they knew how. (We had a great group.) One guy, a worrier, had achieved level 15 a...
D&D was quite looked down upon back then, especially here in Arkansas. !*th_dwn*! We were all known as some kind of cult thing on drugs. *!*!*! No one understood that it was just a game. Rather weird... Alright, now you're really jerking my memory when it comes to versions. Advanced ri...
Thanks, Knave. Lotsa info here. I never kept up with it past the early '80. Real life got in the way...
I think $15 a month is a little strong. That's $180 a year for maybe a $50 game. That part doesn't interest me but the free play may be interesting enough.
Hi all, Back in the late '70's - '80's, I had all the paraphernalia and was a Dungeon Master. I also enjoyed other's dungeons as a player as well. I very much enjoyed this game and was wondering how it has developed in the PC world. I understand there is an on-line version, too. Could someone enligh...
Sounds like you have got things under control. Although Win 7 would not be my OS choice. Hey, not to jump off topic too badly but, I used to be a dungeon master, way back when and, was always curious about the PC version of D&D. Should we start another thread to discuss it? I'd like to know more...
I ran that exact CRT for close to two years and never had one complaint. Never used the USB, though.
If it's/they are still available in a couple more weeks, I'm buying another one.
I loved that monitor!
Notice the resolutions?
Little update here... I just found my old 22" NEC CRT on E-Bay!!! Exact same model as I lost in that fire. Brand new, still in the box for $200!!! !*00*! I paid over $650 for it back then! !hairpull! I'm crying 'cause I'm $100 short. :-( (This being on a fixed income really sucks.) !*th_dwn*! (...
Hi Knave,
Oh, I have been and found this beauty. WOW! I may have to step down a notch or two to the 24"ers being on a fixed income but, I believe this will do the trick. (Read the 'blue' print.) http://us.aoc.com/monitor_display/619fh
Hi Knave, This smaller monitor is as bad as the 23"er. To top it off, it's SMALL!!! !hairpull! I don't understand something about these two newer monitors. Any resolution from the native gives horrible graphics display which makes all their other resolutions useless. Why offer them??? **!!!** M...
Well, that 23" HP was so bad, I took it back, because I needed the money anyway, and bought a $100 18"er to get by with. I still have a 90 day money back guarantee so, within 90 days, I should have enough saved to get a good screen. Boy, this little screen is something to get used to... (0...
Thanks for all your tips, j484fan. Sounds good. Ruth, As we have recently found out, the smoking process from real open pit fires, like your backyard BBQ, is extremely hazardous to your health. The smoke from the burning wood and coals is full of carcinogens and ingesting them is not a good thing fo...
Oyster Stew This is one of my favorite dishes. I've been working on this recipe for awhile and finely hit it. ::!**! This stuff is GOOOOD! !*th_up*! Makes 2 to 4 servings Ingredients: 2 pints shucked oysters with their liquor or 1 - 8oz. can of Whole Oysters 4 Tablespoons butter (1/2 stick), divide...
That all does sound pretty good but, this is the Caboose . You're supposed to share your recipes here, not necessarily your experiences. **!!!** We all know what a slow cooker will do. !*th_up*! So, let's see this BBQ sauce recipe. I want to try it although, I do have my own. :salute: Come on, don't...
