I completely agree with everything said in the above post.
I agree that Railroads had a lot of eye candy, but I never liked the "kids playset" look of either Railroads or Civ 4. Maybe that look appealed to Sid Meyer's inner child, but it did nothing for me.
I can relate to your feelings about Sid Meyer's Railroads. I bought the 1.0.0 version and found it unplayable. That was a big enough turn off for me not to bother with the patch. A freind of mine did play the patched version and it was a little better...at least you got farther into the game before ...
Now if you would just embrace communism then you would be required to not work on Labour Day weekend, and instead you would be shouting out for equality among the masses, and free healthcare for all, etc. ^**lylgh Perhaps we need a cheat code called "worker's paradise" that converts all l...

I didn't like the scarce commodities. !hairpull! Aluminum is produced in Texas. At one time Alcoa owned a railroad called the Rockdale Sando...
I noticed that there doesn't appear to be a thread for this scenario, so I am starting one. This scenario offers the option to have as many as 9 AI players, and I thought it would be fun to see how having that many AI's would play out. Since there were so many little sugar cane railroads in Cuba I t...

I have had pretty much a lifelong interest in Mexico's railroads, and as you might expect I was eager to play this map when I first got it. As Hawk noted in a previous post, there is very little traffic at the beginning o...
I have "lurked" on this site for some time. I have downloaded, played and enjoyed many of the RT3 maps available in the downloads section. A while back I added the 1.06 patch, and a I want to say that it truly reinvigorates RT3! I always enjoyed making commodities like steel and automobile...
