Re: Password Change!

V Bulletin has a facility for putting all new users on post moderation until their first post is approved, don't know if you have anything like that available to you Hawk but it's certainly useful on another site I mod on where we had a rash of spambots.

If you want the patch to introduce modifiability, that's uncontroversial. If you want the patch to actually make modifications to exisiting buildings (say, make the dairy procesor require oil in addition to cheese, to make Velveeta), that might be a different story, since that would upset game bala...

As I see it modified buildings would be part of the patch process & incorporated into the game as a whole. What kind of 'modified buildings' are you referring to? What do you mean by 'incorporated into the game as a whole'? I cannot tell from your post whether you agree or diagree with JSS and ...

The dev I'm currently working with incorporates all previous fixes in any subsequent patch, so the last patch contains all previous fixes, that's pretty standard procedure & basically means that all users can be unpatched or fully patched. Logo packs & similar are user created & the game...

I always felt the off rail cargo movement just needed dumbing down a bit, it seems to create very big sinks especially where rivers are involved.

Irl the railways often eradicated other types of transport e.g. you wouldn't move milk by river at all if you could do it by rail.

Milo,

You're the best thing since sliced bread!

I'm coming to the end of my other time consuming project now & Sid's latest doesn't grab me at all. Even my 6 year old grandson has abandoned it in favor of RRT3.

I'll be back to offer what help I can in a short time.

Keep up the fantastic work.

I have de luxe on CD, don't know what version, I'll unearth it over the weekend. It ran okay on 98 but I'll try it on XP. Let me know if you want any info from it. I posted the manual to someone who asked for it but it came back 3 weeks later "undeliverable" I've since had to reinstall XP ...

I'm a bit late on parade but better late than never.

I've been busy on another project but still had time to miss this watering hole.

Glad you made it back Hawk, not that I ever doubted you would
