Re: What Happened to RailRoad Tycoon Info Website?

I just noticed that the home page for the Railroad Tycoon Info site is shut down (http://www.railroadtycoon.info/index.php) as well as the discussion forum for Railroad Tycoon games (http://www.strategygametalk.com/). Does anyone know the full story behind this? If you go to either railroadtycoon.i...

How 'bout if your cat drags one home (still kicking)! Of course, in my woods the coons are bigger than the cats, so the cats can only catch the babies. !**fldwn!

Re: Removing an AI Investor

Is there a tactic to encourage or force an AI investor to sell the stock which they have bought in your company? Or are you stuck with an AI investor in your company for the rest of the game? It is also possible to bring about the bankruptcy of one of the other tycoons. Some are very conservative (...

Re: Multiple Stations

Cliff, Trainmaster is going to be a super mod to RRT3, and it will be fully Vista compliant and capable. In fact, I am going to include the exe I am using in the d/l. The only problem is that you will need the CD to play. If I can get the no cd crack to work, then I'll have that available too. I go...

RT3 will work in Vista but only up to version 1.03. Version 1.04 (Coast to Coast Expansion) will not work right in Vista, nor will 1.05 or 1.06. !$th_u$! Hawk! Now I know how to do quotes like a professional. About running RRT3 on Vista: What's the fun if I can't use C-to-C Expansion or the 1.06 pa...

Re: Multiple Stations

3. Invest for personal profit in the AI company stock. Turn the AI company into a milk cow for your PNW. Yeah, and I've even had to "pump up" flailing AIs that I've invested in -- so that they can keep earning money for me. :-| Now, this is far from a "Quality" Post, so let me a...

I have found that dairy farms are very, very profitable -- but it only makes economic sense when you can buy them brand new (when they sell for $400K). Most dairy farms earn about $150K-200K per year.

Hi JSS - No need to raise your blood pressure Cliff, No worries mate. Anaconda Smelter: The Greenwood Anaconda smelter folks have the following proposition for you. If you place a station at the east side of the smelter between the smelter and the warehouse and before 1902 connect this station to th...

South Central British Columbia (SCBC)

Hi JSS - On my SCBC1896 map I have 16 listed companies. All of those companies either run a railroad or own industries and one of them is a bank. I've been meaning to contact you for a couple of weeks about your diabolical British Columbia scenario. This one is meant to take more than 3-4 hours, and...

I supose I could make a really difficult version of the map. Industrious-Ballbusterious. :D Just for the helluvit, I reloaded my saved game (just before it kept crashing), STOPPED the last 5 trains and let it run. It made it into September 1890 without crashing, so I started the trains -- one at a ...

Hi Overland - Sorry you had a problem. Do you think it was the map? Don't know. Is there anything in particular which happens in August 1850 which might accidently trigger a CTD? Raising the point requirements is not a problem. I had gold set at 24 at one point and I believe my high was 28. Anybody ...

Hi again - This last time (the one just described) there were LOTS of irons, as well as coals -- don't know if that was just an extra good seed, or if you revised the basic industry. Anyway, I had two strong steel mills (each making over $1M annually), and could have had at least one more. -- Cliff ...

Hi LWVRR1964 - I did a test run on this map last night. I did well but 4 of the 6 railroad companies went bankrupt within 10 years.
