I have made a Russian 0-8-0 Ob loco but it has no animation bones. I don't know what are the poly limits the game would use. Also it would be nice if the game didn't have to use the .x direct x files compressed.

Model type
Can I get confirmation on the unpacked model type being in .3dp format? From Googling this it seems to be commonly used as a dvd format. The converters I've found list no .3dp as a 3D file type.

The files are all 3dp, which is 3d professional. You can actually mixed parts from different models if you have a lot of time to get things right, so getting smoke from one building to another is possible. Just a lot of work. Unfortunately my 3D program doesn't export to that format. So even if som...

Hi Steve....so far as I know nobody have been doing any actual modelling for RT3. Anything that is coming about has been by using existing models and editing them with hex editors. It would be nice to have some new buildings though since any new ones have just been existing buildings with new skins...

Just stopped in to see how things are. Heard about a 1.06 version. Been building 3D models for another game and have some time as I'm waiting for their programmer to finish a patch.
