Re: Skins paks

Not sure how to explain how they work, but I have DL the SD90 files into mine as well, and they work fine. Only thing I have found is needing to open a game in the editor to make sure they are included, as has been the case with any of them. I will admit though that when I DL the 4pak and 3pak of th...

Terrain Levelers in 1.05?

I recently reinstalled my 1.05 version as something with the Cereal building caused my game to crash, but good, I assume I somehow put some files into the wrong place, but I did put the ones showing 2D in the 2D folder. Anyhow, as I have been redownloading files into the game, I have all the railyar...

Re: Florida

There is one thing I have found with this map, for some reason, when I try running with AI's in the game, it crashes. If I hit F9 and play in windowed mode, no problem, but that can get annoying when I want to see the bigger picture for what I want to do next. Especially as later in the game for the...

Re: Alternate USA

Okay, I have my questions to throw into this mix. I am playing on 1.05 and have been trying Penn Minutemans method. In trying to send grain to Texhoma, I am able to send two trainloads of grain then after that, the demand/profit drops too low for me to send. This is even with building and soon after...

Re: Age of Steam Blue Streak

Yeah, I've been doing the spurs on almost every map. It's a pain to setup intially, but more fun watching the trains run as a result. Problem with this map is needing those warehouses or ports to actually win. You can't get enough money starting out without them. Problem seems to be learning which c...

Age of Steam Blue Streak

Ok, it seems no matter where I pick a starting location, I always end up financing for the big city accesses. I got tired of trying to start over near Memphis first so I started with Shawneetown and Cairo and worked my way North. Once I got connected to Centralia I started making considerably more m...

Re: Slow Cooker Barbecue

In regards to the liquid smoke, the brand I use is Wright's hickory seasoning. First off, if never having used this stuff, experiment, it's potent stuff as any liquid smoke is. The old rule you can always add, but never take away applies well here. And as it's been a few days, the recipe is quite si...

Re: China Ultimate 2.0 for Trainmaster

In reference to my above post, any chance someone could skin a QJ 2-10-2 for this map? maybe even doing two of them together? On railpictures.net the Jitong Railway ran most all if not all of their trains with two of these monsters. There are several great shots of these locomotives on that site. Th...

Re: China Ultimate 2.0 for Trainmaster

I haven't been able to find out very much about this railway, but here is a pic from railpictures.net with steam running on mainline as late as 2005. In fact, it was in Dec 2005 that the last of these beasts ran. Shame too, looked like some great locomotives. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.ph...

Re: China Ultimate 2.0 for Trainmaster

Thank you very much! This map will be a good help for me to improve the existing China scenario. I think, version 3.0 will come out one day, certainly with many detail improvements, but also very likely some bigger changes towards realism. China is, btw. a pretty tricky area to handle. The informat...

Re: Slow Cooker Barbecue

An added note: one thing I did both times with the pork and chicken was to put it in a shallow pan, when I shredded it. I used this to mix in the bbq sauce then wrapped it tight with foil and stuck it in a 220 degree oven for 30mins. This helped the flavors from the meat and seasoning and the sauce ...

Slow Cooker Barbecue

I started making my own bbq sauce when I was 16, so I have always been very fussy when it comes to barbecue. Having learned the diehard purist methods, I was dead set against any other method than low and slow over charcoal and or wood. Then I went to my best friends surprise party a few weeks ago a...

Re: Age Of Steam IV-Blue Streak For Your Comment and Review

Okay, I have the Blue Streak map open right now. Great looking map, but reading through this post I see no way to tell what Ports and Warehouse produce/provide until you build one. I also checked reading through the Read me file again in case I missed something. Also seems to me that one would be be...

Re: Florida

Okay, first off, I realize this posting is 3yrs old, but as others mentioned, I like this map. I have yet to include any AI's in this but will attempt to do so. One thing I like doing however with the maps that interest me, is to look around at the cities and industries, then look up history and map...

Issue with some file DL's

As I recently finely was able to get TM DL and running on my PC. I am now also trying to redownload some of the maps I like in the 1.05 and 1.06 versions. In trying to DL Age of Steam IV The Blue Streak, the file that is coming up is AoS II Green Diamond. Not sure what the issue is here, just wanted...

Re: Railroad Heralds

Give me Railroad Tycoon and Rollercoaster Tycoon any day. Ever play locomotion? That game wasn't too bad, especially with some of the player created stuff for it. The difference between that and this is, you could build working spurs, and setups for coal mines were great as well. You coul...

Re: Railroad Heralds

Now I understand what you meant in that one message about being so busy, nice looking site Hawk. :-) Makes me wish I had a PC that could handle Railworks. Actually I've been wanting to get that game for a while, but just not in the position to do it right now.
