Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
This post is two-fold: 1. Attached is the corrected-absolutely-perfect version of this, according to all your reviews/remarks. Hawk, the one you have in the downloads still has a bug, which is undone in this version. I also attempted to improve land colouring, but i am so rubbish at it, that whateve...

Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
:) In real life, belb, Marrupa is a small town right in the middle of nowhere... ... and the same if true for this scenario. In the meanwhile, there is now a version with a fix for the problem spotted earlier. Unless you guys want difficulty trimmed down a little, i will call that the last and final...

Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
Thanks for the input, belbincolne. Once you get the medal (sounds like you will get - but..., did you manage to do the transition to electric trains easily?), please tell me what was your strategy, in terms of where you build first and which routes you establish. I really wonder how the map looks fr...

Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
Oh darn! you are absolutely right... Will have to fix that. Or maybe, just change the objectives - because, really, i always aimed at hauling all cargos in the last ten years... Anyway, it's an easy fix i think. As for the colouring of the map, i have always been rubbish at "paintbrushing"...

Re: How to allow territory access
"c" and "z" (and possibly others) stop working in text boxes when you press the dynamic text key, which is a minor bug, since there is an easy way around.
To make them work again, press Control... That works for me at least

Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
Yep, final version.
Initial seeding is meant to be hard, Hawk. But demand is in the right places.
As for scenario game. Call it "Mozambique Coast Exports". And i reckon you know that is Southeast Africa

Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
I have finally cracked gold! In my own scenario it took me some half a dozen of attempts! Here's a after-gold-msg status, in the winning year. (The problems with the ledger are definitely at your end, Sunshine) Hawk, before this attempt, i realized i had the "Loose" condition miscoded. It'...

Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
This is how the status page looks now, latest beta version.. (notice the more-than-zero produce hauled and still 0 years counted, that's because this was a middle-of-the-year ledger, just for PrintScreen purpose, but it is working correctly, as far i can tell) Version Beta6, which is available up in...

Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
Final version for Beta, i hope. Reviewed Loose condition, so it only happens if minimum win (Bronze) hasn't triggered. I thought the game would ask "continue?" after Loose. Reordered events, so that Status comes atfer haulage checks. Added another event for Expert level only, for fun. Will...

Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
Hi.. a quick reply. I don't get what you mean by letting the game run - couldn't i just delete the "Loose" event? I worked on refining the status last night, works much better now (it also tells you how many consecutive years you managed for each cargo). I already play tested this twice to...

Re: new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
Reviewed Beta. I made it a little harder, was too easy for Medium level. Didn't try other levels. To be honest, i think the kind of target i have set for medals is pretty rare and difficult to guarantee, so i reckon this will be challenging even on medium. Ports work ok now - building probabilities ...

Re: no values in Effects drop box
Thank you for the advice, Stoker - the Beta version already contains "fresh" events only. I have another question though: I can trigger building any kind of industry, but not ports or warehouses.. is this correct? I couldn't find those two in the effects list. I want to trigger a particula...

Re: no values in Effects drop box
Good thing 1.06 has a "revert to 1.05" button. I reverted and managed to edit the events easily. I just placed a Beta version in the Reviews forum, i long for comments (i know, i know, in due time). My solutions to the problems we were discussing: Produce price - at startup, produce prices...

Re: no values in Effects drop box
Alright.. I am now definitely sure my problem is having 1.06 and 1.05 in a weird-one-of-a-kind hybrid. I will soon uninstall properly and make a clean install, update it to 1.05 and then have a look at the editor again. Problem in my editor is that i cannot "write" in the box with the math...

Re: no values in Effects drop box
Am i using 1.06 ?? Main menu still says 1.05, Coast to Coast. I downloaded 1.06 from here a month ago or so, but after installing i had some crashes and re-installed 1.05 and coast to coast. I wonder if version files are mixed up now and that is the actual problem. Anyway - i want to reduce produce ...

new map: Moz&Mal - exports economy
Hi folks. Still not ready, as i am having trouble working the events. But... i :salute: humbly submit this for reviews. This is (will be) a map based on export economy. It covers the area of Malawi and most of Mozambique, as well as a bit of Zimbabwe (Rhodesia at the time) and Tanzania (East German ...
