Re: New map for rrt3 v1.06

;-) You can find the exact answer by downloading the RT3 1.06 Industry Chart (by Magnus) on this site. As far as I can tell, machinerery (just like electronics) is consumed in small amounts in housing, public buildings and most other industries all over the map and does not necessesarely need a port...

;-) Everyone can use my maps as they please for new scenarios, but I think it would be polite to mention it somewhere, that the original map was an Arop map, called West from Chicago :salute: !!jabber!!

Re: New map for rrt3 v 1.06 Ghana Railways (beta 1)

!$th_u$! Now I'm back, as I have been photographing and riding steam trains on the many German vintage railways for more than a week. Again any comments, advice and suggestions concerning my latest beta maps are welcome, so I can finish the 1.0 versions and submit them to Hawk. :salute:

Re: New map for rrt3 v 1.06 Ghana Railways (beta 1)

Attached to this answer you'll find Ghana Railways beta 2 and a fictive map, called Ascania, with more cities covering the same area not having anything to do with the real Ghana. The only change in Ghana beta 2, is that the A.I. player has become optional and in case of playing solo, Togo Railways ...

Re: Balance and realism issues with RT3 v1.06 locomotives

I seldom use the Italian engine when making my maps, but I often use the user made tank engine version of it, called the 2-6-4 Suburban tank (Regretably it's the only tank engine in RRT3) for shortline hauls. I have been told that the use of tank engines was not very common in US and Canada. Besides...

New map for rrt3 v 1.06 Ghana Railways (beta 1)

My latest map (beta) is about railways in Ghana (The British Gold Cost colony). Ghana once had a small, British built, narrow gauge railway system (see the attached map). Today most of Ghana Railways are in a most derelict condition, although plans have been made to reactivate and build a couple of ...

Re: Balance and realism issues with RT3 v1.06 locomotives

I like the inproved Berkshire, BUT I wish it wasn't as "black" as it is :-( . It's difficault to recognize the wheels from the boiler, even when you take a closer look, it's all black. Some brighter nuances of black and grey are desireable if possible. I'm looking forward to download the &...

Re: New map for v1.06: Rails over the Las Pampas (Uruguay) beta 1 version

:?: Which version did you play? Confusing, but this map has been submitted to Hawk under the title "Uruguay" version 1.0 with the errors mentioned corrected and the 1000 loads changed to 500. Due to the break of gauge no rail connection has ever been established to Argentina or Brazil in t...

Re: New map for v1.06: Rails over the Las Pampas (Uruguay) beta 1 version

!!howdy!! Quit unofficially I have made a fictive map out of my Uruguay map, called Walusia (beta1). Making fictive maps gives you the "artists fredom" compared with maps from the real world. More cities/towns and villages are added, and the natural resources are more versatile than the re...

Re: Balance and realism issues with RT3 v1.06 locomotives

!!clap!! !!clap!! !!clap!! I have waited a long time for someone who could fix it. Another problem is that the loco number and company name is laterally reversed at the other side of the loco. With that fixed it will be among the most succesfull user made locomotives in this game :salute:

Re: New Polls - New Topics

It's a pity download counting now is history  giving mapbuilders almost no idea about how popular their maps are :-P On the other hand, maybe, I should think I do not care, -I build maps for myself to my own liking, you can download them as you wish. But be kind to use the scenario reviews a li...

Re: New map for v1.06: Rails over the Las Pampas (Uruguay) beta 1 version

;-) The Pampas in Uruguay is very sparesly populated. Example: The capital Montevideo has a population of 1.3 million....in RRT set to 400%, the typical population of one of the few small cities on Las Pampas is less than about 50.000.....is set to 35%, and a typical village on the pampas is less th...

Re: Balance and realism issues with RT3 v1.06 locomotives

(Continued) Comments C) The original 2-8-0 Consolidation had a unrealistic maximum speed of 60 Mph, too fast for a typical freight engine. This version. avaiable 1881-1920 has the more realistic maximum speed of 45 Mph and should be a lillte more powerful. (in 1907 it will be superceeded by the more...

Re: Balance and realism issues with RT3 v1.06 locomotives

Once somewhere on this site I found an alternative 4-4-0 American (max 49 Mph), avaiable 1855-1895, a 2-6-0 Mogul, avaiable 1869-1905 and a 2-8-0 Consolidation, avaiable 1881-1920. I have used these 3 variants with succes since then. Comments A) About the 4-4-0 American speeds are more realistic tha...
