Re: Returning
Hi all! My extended Christmas break has lasted for way over a year now  On the subject of 3dp files - I believe they are a simplified version of the common 3ds file format. It might be possible to save an RRT3 3dp model using a modified 3ds export script. Hope everyone is well, glad to see some...

Re: Rolling Stock skinning ideas
I must admit that does sound like a lot of work, although most of the modding we do to RT3 is extremely complex compared to other games. It does make me think about possibly updating patch 1.06 with new building models to replace the temporary warehouses we put in, but that would probably take a few...

Re: Questions for the experts
Thanks for answering my questions guys. Hawk I'll follow your advice on question 5 and try to think of a few other alternatives to question 6. I might make the buildings change from one industry to another when the human player buys the original industry, which will then get replaced by another indu...

Re: Questions for the experts
Hopefully that's true Hawk, I have a few more:
5) Can a city stop building a particular industry building after it has already built a given number of that same industry?
6) Can an industry (pre-built before start) be turned into another industry building after the initial industry is upgraded?

Re: Questions for the experts
It does help, I'm very impressed by the quick response! Very useful information, thank you all. Make an event that applies only to AIs and raise the "Buy/Build industries" cost by 1000% or some absurd number. It doesn't "prevent" them from buying, just makes it financially unfeas...

Questions for the experts
Hi All, Could someone help answer a few questions for me. I'm running patch 1.06. 1) Using events, can city A be given 5 passenger cars that need to be sent to city B annually? This is assuming the cities are very far apart and normally do not have passengers that want to go from one to the other. A...

His shoe got cut in half by the train, the story's been all over the papers here in the UK. He's now released the video to show people how stupid it is jumping over the barriers - although I'm sure the money he gets from all the press attention doesn't hurt

Peppercorn class A1 Pacific locomotive in London
Don't know if anyone here knows about this, but some enthusiasts in the UK have just finished building a brand new loco! New BBC video- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7876333.stm It's getting lots of coverage over here, mainly because they spent £3 million on it, that's $4.5 million! If anyone's inte...

Hex editing a 3D file really shows enthusiasm! Maybe sign-up to blenderartists.org and ask someone for help with a 3DP exporter for Blender? I assure you it can be done easily by someone who knows what they’re doing.

I'm dropping into the discussion having read only the previous 10 posts, so my apologies for any reiteration. Actually Gwizz, Norway has been voted the best country to live in for the last few years, but the US isn’t far off. Here’s a list: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/2149799.stm#tab...
