Thanks Stoker for the farmers dating site commercial. I am sure a sheepish look won't do.

Re: Romanian steam locomotive, Falkenber/Elster, Germany.

Lots of questions at the end Lone cat. The only one I can help you with is why so many 280's were sent to Europe during WW2. With a cab that has been reduced in height they were able to fit into the tunnels of the lines they were to run on. The Alaska Railroad received 12 of these engines during the...

Re: Any "Real" Model Railroaders here?

I started a ho scale railroad on a 4x8 sheet of plywood topped with a matching sheet of 2 inch blueboard insulation. I then used even more blueboard and a electric knife to create and shape the landscape. I started this around 2000 or 2001. I wound up trying to store the layout in the garage and did...

Re: RT3 running on Windows 7

Starting with Vista and continuing on into Win 7, Windows will no longer allow overwriting of files in the Program Files (86) or the Program Files directories. If you have RT3 installed in either of those directories, you need to uninstall it and reinstall into a directory outside of either of thos...

Complete texturing or not, it looks like you are having fun. And that is why we do these things. Everything looks quite good to me. I admire what you have done since I do not have the patience. Keep at it and post again.

Re: Hello 7

Time for an update. Actually this is a thinly veiled cry for help. I love this computer and 7 when it come to some games. And hate it when it comes to others. Sid Meyers Railroads. Crashes. A Lot. I have the Patch. Still crashes. It seems to crash when I am asking the game to do more than one thing ...

Re: Man films himself on tracks

Oh, I agree. How many people are going to be killed with copycat stunts? The young man that put the grand piano on the sandbar now has copycats. Where is original thought? Or in the case of our train guy. any thought at all.

Re: LG products warning

I just remembered...We have LG blu ray /dvd players in our computers. !*00*! So far so good. Actually, from the newegg customer reviews, there wasn't a big return rate. Complaints about the software. Which I understand. The players themselves seem okay so far. I'll keep an eye open.

Re: LG products warning

I am a little shocked. Elder Son has a 32 inch flat screen TV he uses for a monitor. And TV. By LG. It seems like a really good unit. Over two years old and still going. Is this lack of quality a new thing or was Elder Son just lucky?

I am glad to hear that you have found a monitor you are happy with. Lcd, crt. What ever it takes. The fact it slows you down doesn't even matter. You are retired. Whats the hurry?

Re: Now it's time for a Hard Drive

Okay, I understand the difference in the model number. The one you are looking at is a SATA 3 model. The ones we have are SATA 2. And someone else is going to be the one to tell you if the SATA 3 model will work with a SATA 2 motherboard. It is all new to me. I imagine it will.
