I am changing the site to use https. If you don't know what that means, don't worry.
The site may go a bit funny for a while, but I'll fix it pretty quickly if it does.

Re: Alternate USA
I have been struggling with this scenario for a while now, but I have hit a problem that I can't work out - trains eternally waiting for cargo. For example I have a train at a station in which there is 8.2 loads of corn, the train has a consist of a minimum of 1 unit and a maximum of 6 of corn and a...

Re: British Miracle
Just coming back to the glitch I found when playing Britsh Miracle for a moment. I would like to publicly express my thanks to MisterHinton for the time and effort he has put into to investigating and finding a solution to the glitch. While I am here can I also say thank you to Hawk for mainatining ...

Re: British Miracle
I think MisterHinton has put his finger on the root cause of the problem because I have noticed messages about connecting to Copenhagen (I thought them odd at the time but paid no real attention to them). However, I have tried various combinations of video settings without success. Probably there is...

Re: British Miracle
A firend of mine tried out the version3 of British Miracle downloaded from the link in the Map Archive on his machine (4gb RAM, a humngus graphics card on which he can run every game on max settings without a problem and XP rather than Vista) and it froze sold in October 1837 - the same problem, but...

Dang! No problem, I'll repatch to 1.05 and start again, I'll get the same result. Might take a day or two.EPH wrote:Unfortunately, I can't load a 1.06 scenario as I'm patched upto 1.05.

Re: British Miracle
EPH,
So far I have seven game starts with this scenario, all have which have led to the same sorry, frustrating, conclusion. I can let you have a save game if you would be so kind as to check it out on your rig.
Thanks again for all your efforts.

Re: British Miracle
Thanls Mr. Hawk, that is interesting. Maybe I need to go back to a 1.5 insatll and see if it works there.
Of course the problem then is how do I know waht maps to play under what install? Unless there is something in the release notes how is a fellow to know?

Re: British Miracle
Thanks, EPH, I'd be grateful for any pointers. I have tried again, twice, and once I got a little further but with the same end result. I fear it might down to my system but it is relatively new with a good graphics card and a lot more memory than was common when the game was released. I have also t...

Re: British Miracle
I am trying to play version 3 of the excellent British Miracle Scenario. Unfortunately in five game starts I have five crashes to desk top in about 1848. I win the battle of the guages and then a year or two later, splat, the game crashes. I can reload from the last auto save but within a short spac...
