Re: The Shire for 1.06

Gave it a try just now and, in contrast to the comments above, it was too easy to win Gold in 1956. The reason for that is the fact, that - as soon as I had taken over the first competitor - I had access to all regions. This way it was not a problem to take over the second one (both in 1952), expand...

Re: Installing RT3 on Win8.1

Meanwhile I have upgraded from Win 8.1 to Win 10. No (RT3 specific) problems seen until now ... :salute:
So, I assume that the installation procedure under Win 10 would be the same as described above.

I very much hope that this statement will be revised soon. We simply cannot do it without map creators like OilCan.

Re: Railway of Fame!

DUH! *!*!*! If I had gone back to the start of this thread I could have answered my own questions. ^**lylgh Still a small summary - As RoS mentioned is gismoskip - in 2012 a 14 years old map creator (don't know anything more) - the author. - The map is a patch 1.06 one .. and it's not (yet) in the ...

Re: Railway of Fame!

It seems that this "legendary trilogy" has never been completed! ^**lylgh Nevertheless, I adjusted - without changing any goal - ALL FIVE events (and some text) in part 1 (Railway of Fame) so that the map can be played without bigger disappointment. Railway_of_Fame.zip My apologies go to t...

I upgraded from Win 8.1 to Win 10 and my RT3 installations (see "Installing RT3 on Win 8.1") work as they did before. No problems!

Goodness me! NO! ^**lylgh
Seriously: due to the fact there is no German RT3 forum at all, it simply makes no more sense to translate any maps. And believe me, I'm not sad about that!

"Warning": The goal if this post is to show how I got RT3 running on Windows 8.1 ::!**! First of all, I beat the 65 and it's really a great feeling having retired! Ok, this way I'm now a "young oldie", but that's peanuts in contrast to the fact that I have now the time to do all ...

Re: What makes ELECTRIC PLANTS profitable?

As you can see in the industry flow chart, coal and oil are the required resources.
But - my experience with some arop maps - you have to be very patient till these industries change from "red" to "black"! :-D

Upload your version of the map (and describe your special event) so that we can download it and investigate the story via the editor.

Re: Rainy Days in British North America

I left it the same way as in the original, i.e. corrected the briefing text, which means, that you can build and buy industries.

Heres' the updated version.
(EDIT: patch 1.06 version deleted, see below)

Re: Rainy Days in British North America

Ok, here is my slightly modified version. I corrected the winning events and extended the time range to 35 years. To avoid confusion i.e. to distinguish it from the original, I named my version "Rainy Days in BNA". (EDIT: attachment deleted) I've played the map on easy and got Gold after 3...

Re: Rainy Days in British North America

I gave this one two tries today. In the first one I stated in Montreal and - after a few years - didn't make any progress. In the second one, I got access to the United States and began in Boston. As you can see in RDiBNA.jpg I was not successful once more. Also, I was wondering, that -after more th...
