drop shipping, what is that? That was a feature of RT2 that allowed you to transport cargo to a station, drop it off, and have it wait for another train to come and pick it up to deliver. To help this out, and slow down the "rotting" time, there were grain silos and refrigeration houses (...

Something that I would find extremely useful, and would be of use to scenario developers, would be the ability to output data to a logfile. I'm thinking about things like event monitoring; the current editor only shows the results of the first few events and you can't scroll to see the entire list. ...

I prefer RT3. Haven't played RT2 in years. I like the graphics and the auto consist, as mentioned by danielches. It take a while to learn the finer points of tracklaying, and how to best utilize the economic model, but all in all a much funner game than RT2. I often find myself "hitchin' a ride...

WOW - That's service. Taking a look at the post times, it took you 7 minutes to process and implement my request. Don't you have a job? How can you spend so much time with this thing? Thanks Hawk!

What do you mean by "Active" vs. "Visited"? I've "visited" all the threads, so shouldn't they all be green? Or is just those visited since invoking the new "peachy" colored board.

Dash for Cash

Hawk: How about adding a forum to discuss scenario strategies. You could move this there if and when you open one up. This has to do with Dash for Cash. I tried this one several times on the Expert level and was shot down big time. The player is at a severe disadvantage compared to the AIs, who seem...

One thing I really missed in the RT3 editor was the ability to do math within the event triggers. RT2 let you apply mathematical operators to constants and variables (If GV2 > 2 x PV1 then ...) to give a lot of flexibilty in determining when an event would fire. This feature was not included in the ...

What do the different colors in the subjects of threads mean. On my computer some of them are blue and some are green. Any significance to the text colors?

I think it's a good idea to screen applicants. It's a lot more work for you, but helps to keep the board clean. To quote: "For while many are called, few are chosen".

Forum for Sid Meier's Railroads

Welcome back Hawk!!!!

Thank you so much for not abandoning us. It's nice to be "Home Again".

How about a Forum for SMRR. I know most of it will be gripes and such from us old farts, but it would be useful to have a place to put them.
