Re: Introduce a new player in middle of game
There is an effect called "confiscate" which I've never been able to work out. Either it confiscates the AI's stuff to the human player or the other way round (can't remember which - I'm at work just now) but I've never been able to figure out what really happens when you use it. It might...

Re: Introduce a new player in middle of game
Thanks EPH That's pretty much what I thought the answer would be. I guess the only way around it is to set up the AI player from the start but don't give them access to any territories, just let them play the stockmarket in the human player's company. Then when the event is triggered, give them acce...

Introduce a new player in middle of game
I had this thought to add to something I'm working on but don't know if it's possible so thought I'd ask. What I want to do is set up the scenario for just a single human player - without AI players - but at a choosen point use an EVENT to bring a AI player onto the map. For example, the human is gi...

Re: Hello
Why, me of course. You can simply email it to me, or if it's smaller than 10 MB zipped, you can attach it to a PM or a post. If it's larger than 10 MB we'll have to go a different route - FTP Ah right, and wouldn't you know it's currently - before I do some 1.06 patch tweaks - 10.4mb. Oh ...

Re: Hello
I agree that Railroads had a lot of eye candy, but I never liked the "kids playset" look of either Railroads or Civ 4. Maybe that look appealed to Sid Meyer's inner child, but it did nothing for me. !*th_dwn*! Can't disagree with anything said so far about Railroads - really this hasn't c...

Re: Hello
I was disappointed with Sid Meyer's Railroads too. I can't believe the "dumbing down" of games in recent years. Railroads was no exception. BC Well the first disapointment was that it didn't work (for most people) out of the box, until you'd tweaked, and patched, and... I don't know... st...

Welcome aboard, edbanger (*!!wel But now, I'm impatiently waiting to get and play your marvelous E&D map! :-D Thanks for all the welcomes. I need to test of "ED Land" before I (re)release it as I want to ensure it works with 1.06 patch and I need to play it first and then re-teach mys...

Re: New map - Caucasus - Crash to desktop?
First off I have to say that I liked this map and would have won gold if that were indeed possible (thankfully I didn't read this thread first or I wouldn't have started the map) and it didn't crash once and was reasonably fast to load. Anyway, I started near Grozny with a small loop of three statio...

Hello
Hi Been lurking here for a few weeks, having a look through the scenarios (which are great BTW) so thought it time I did things properly. But first a RT history. I started out with RT1 when it came on a magazine give away disc, back in the day. I had no idea what I was doing - there were no instruct...
