Re: Re-skinning for beginners (that's me)
On the A1 Pacific: Haven't you seen the skin for that one? It's a beautiful green livery complete with LNER tender and "Royal Coachmen" on the center axle streamlining. It's rather clean and crisp IMO. I definitely would never use the Yellow livery.

Re: Locomotive internet database
That would be sincerely appreciated, GB. And I can bet that Gavin would love having a fellow Australian on site to split the work with! Muddling through the errors and lies in the North American diesel pages is our foremost goal, so don't worry about not knowing about engines on the other side of th...

Re: Locomotive internet database
Now that the voting is over, it has been sent to to Wikia Community staff. Not one person voted to keep Corbin in his position of power. I've taken this is an opportune time to rid the site of ALL mentioning and references of Thomas and friends. I've deleted all "prototype" info and pictur...

Re: Australian steam locos
That looks like quite the speedster! So, is there a way to directly use that 3D design while creating the in-game model? Originally I thought building a CAD was all you had to do, which was why I thought it would be so easy when I wrote up the list of ideas a while ago. When I found out about hex ed...

Re: Locomotive internet database
I was thinking that. I'll take it slower on Trainline, but I may not have that much time. The most important thing we can do now is vote to kick Corbin out of a position of power on that link, and voting time may be restricted to one week. I've asked Gavin to extend the timeframe for the new members...

Re: Locomotive internet database
@Arop: I've known about that site for a while and really enjoy it! @Stoker: It looks like my post on MRR Forums has not been approved, but I definitely can't blame them. For one, it's a model railroad site, and second, the content is extremely shady. IMPORTANT: We can shut off the flow of false info...

Icorrect/missing files
As I was re-downloading my favorite maps, I found one that had the wrong file. The RT3 North America map "Great Northern" has the map "Grand Republic" instead. Also, the E-Unit in add-on engines for RT3 has a strange file about a county's history or something. I thought I'd let y...

Re: Australian steam locos
That's some complicated stuff there, Gumboots. I do plan to look up and see if I could make double hoppers, but technical stuff has always been daunting to me. I am a year older than when I posted that list of stuff that never got done, after all. If I follow WP&P's instructions as best I can, i...

Re: Locomotive internet database
Thank you both very much for your input. Oh, and I should tell you that your posts made me laugh so hard that it brought tears to my eyes  ^**lylgh But, you're both completely right, don't get me wrong. HDF, aka Corbin, definitely needs to GROW UP. All Thomas and Friends references are complete...

Re: Locomotive internet database
Also, I feel the need to point something out: Locomotive Wiki was started by a 15 year old fan of Thomas the Tank Engine, even going as far as naming himself "HenryDuckFan" after the characters from the show. He was so misinformed about the pages he created that their errors are still in t...

It's not like you pay for the site or anything What do you mean I don't pay for the site. It runs me about $350.00 a year to keep this site going. That's why there's the option for folks using this site to donate. There's no reason to get mad. Stuff happens. I used to be in the constructi...

Re: Australian steam locos
I just downloaded the double car mad, and it has taken my breath away! It's truly awesome behind twin N&W SD40-2's and Y and A class mallets. I was thinking, though, wouldn't you have to be able to make a triple-sectioned car to make a Garret? And, if we can manipulate engines like that... could...

Re: Locomotive internet database
Nice info Lone Cat! I had a feeling you'd like to help out after all the questions you ask. As for the metre gauge F-look alikes, I think they would do fine for the Thai State Railway. Small, versatile, and hopefully, reliable. Would you like to make a page for that class of locomotive?

Locomotive internet database
Hey guys, I wanted to see if any of you would be interested in helping out with a project going on right now. It's called the Locomotive Wiki, and the goal is to build a central database on all things locomotive. Anyone can edit, correct, or add information, and the more help we get the more we can ...

That sounds awesome! I mostly play the game for aesthetics, especially since this new computer has superior graphic handling capacity @ 6gb RAM. Where can I get it?

Re: Dancer in the Dark: Danish F-Unit in Great Northern paintings
IMO, it's definitely close enough to an F series engine. Be sure to tell the Danish they did great on the paintscheme!
