Re: Gateway - Build from St. Louis - BETA
If you like to play beyond the scenario why not just enable the locomotives you want or are appropriate for the region then? When I made scenarios, I'd prefer to only check the boxes for the time period that would be covered rather than the entire of the game. Performance wise it probably doesn't ma...

Re: Coast to Coast Instalation
Did you install RT3 outside of the program files directory? There's a chance it's attempting to patch but isn't able to since it's in the program files directory. When you start the game what version does it now say you are using? If Coast to Coast is successfully installed it should now have a slig...

Re: Installing RRT2 on Windows 7 64 bit?
A few things from a quick google search: Option 1: http://forum.dune2k.com/topic/26394-rt-ii-and-windows-vista/ I'm not sure how active the Terminal is anymore but they were more active in RT2 vs this forum which was more active in RT3) Option 2: It seems to be the setup file that won't run in 64 bi...

Re: Much as I would like my RRT2 copy returned.......Win 7 and Patches
I was just about to comment that I think the point of using 1.03 was so you could get to the T&L box on the settings if you didn't have the Vista Fix file, and then I loaded Hawk's last link... and what do you know it's me saying essentially the same thing! ^**lylgh There probably isn't much nee...

Re: Train Fever - Railway Game in Development
When you get the game I'd be interested to hear your review of it. It would be nice for a decent train game to come out one of these days!

Re: Year 1900 crash
Isn't it just the lights from the guard towers that appears, not the towers themselves? I would think the unlit cannons should be able to disappear easier than anything with lighting. Definitely not my specialty though. I think the towers still have their outlines appearing in TM on the landfill, i...

Re: Year 1900 crash
If you alpha them out, they'll still appear at night. It'll be like the TM landfill where you can still see the guard towers at night. As for TM having issues with the bakery. I'm not sure why/what issues he had. It could be that the bakery was coded into the game one way so he had to rename it as s...

Re: 1.05 maps on 1.06
It's not that they won't run, it's more that they may not play as intended. Additional locomotives, changes to some locomotives stats, and the ability to haul cargo at a loss could all affect the difficulty of a scenario. For example, the Japan Quake campaign map is difficult because of the inabilit...

He actually edited the post and put up a fixed file that was over 3mb after I commented it wasn't working. The first one was only 2.4 mb. But thanks for the effort.

Re: Year 1900 crash
Well that seems to have made it stop crashing at that time. Although now the image is a warehouse instead of the machine shop for the mini-image when you build a building. I'm not sure what is calling up the machineshop 3dp files then if they have now been replaced with "warehouse" in the ...

Can you try putting that in a new zip or rar file? I tried on 2 computers and it won't open correctly on either. The zip file may be corrupt.

Doubtful considering the code for multiplayer in 1.06 is broken.

Re: Year 1900 crash
I don't ever remember having that problem in 1.06. Like Hawk said it might be your install. The nice thing about RT3 is that you can have many copies of it on your computer, assuming you have the room on your hard drive. I would try a fresh install in another folder and see if that runs into any pro...

Re: Year 1900 crash
Ah I forgot about the possibility of them using the "use every loco" option. I suppose it makes sense that they were lazy and used that option frequently, since afterall they programmed it into the game. At least you got the problem isolated now knowing it's the Dining car. Now to m...

Re: Year 1900 crash
I don't think that playing the scenario in 1.06 alone would cause it to crash in 1900. I think I accidentally played a few campaign maps in 1.06 several years ago and I don't remember any crashes. Do other scenarios crash in 1900 or just campaign maps? I don't think the extra locos would appear sinc...

Re: Panama Canal
I'm guessing it might just be a glitch in the game that is causing this cause as I don't see any event that would reset it to 0. It was said that sometimes the game gets confused when large numbers come into play. Combine that with an event that checks weekly and has to use larger and larger numbers...

Re: Panama Canal
From what I can see it is an interesting way to code the event using a territory variable. I see an event at the top of the list setting Cuba's territory 1 variable to 5,000,000. But for some reason your Cuba's TV1 was something like 305,000,000. The only other event I saw that changed Cuba's TV1 wa...

Re: Northern Plains/Upper Midwest Map
I don't think there is a simple event to change a company's name. As others have said, your work would be best done by you rather than someone else. I know I tried to help someone put their ideas into a map and in the end it didn't really turn out as they intended. So generally, maps are best done b...
