Re: American Empire
Finally something as crazy (in a positive way!) as my own "Great China" scenario for TrainMaster! :) It can easily reach 800 trains (and kill your computer...). And winning it can take some serious amount of time! ;) But I made it mainly for myself, and I don't ever seem to get bored with ...

Re: H10 Mikado double header (experiment/WIP)
This is exactly what will separate RRT3 from its lesser siblings as long as Windows (and perhaps Mac) supports it! Great railroad stuff! :)

Re: H10 Mikado double header (experiment/WIP)
Very interesting! My own TrainMaster map of China could use double-headed Class QJ engines, too. The only thing is I'm probably the only person playing that scenario... Considering there are no rivals to RRT3 in sight, we should do whatever we can to keep this great sim alive.

Re: Train Fever - Railway Game in Development
It's not bad but neither is it the RRT 4 we are waiting for. Graphics are pretty and passenger trains work well. Ability to use sidings and signals is a nice touch, although very poorly explained (like most features in the game). Freight trains, however, are still kind of an experiment with very sim...

Great work! So, anything above 2Gb VRAM needs this patch?

Re: Balance and realism issues with RT3 v1.06 locomotives
Played until 1902 with new engine set so far. Much improved experience! Some previously useless engines are now quite useful. Great work!

Re: Balance and realism issues with RT3 v1.06 locomotives
Playing Great China 4 TM map with this locomotive pack. So far only very positive experience. For some reason, a very early mountain climber (can't remember the name - before Shay) crashes the game, but that's probably about my own peculiar setup.

Re: Now what after the Great China 4 for TM scenario..?
Why not make a US one? That's an interesting challenge, indeed. The China one took me maybe 5 years to get it "right" (if you think I got it more or less right). Any next map I do for TM or RRT3 1.06 will take a lot of time, too. Maybe too much. ;) Anyway, there are several scenarios I'd ...

I guess nobody (besides me) plays the Great China 4 scenario, but among other unusual things one may encounter there, some VERY valuable VERY long distance hauls are possible...

Re: RRT3 Coast to Coast won't work on Windows 7
Wonder why I haven't needed the Vista Patch at all, neither with RRT3 v 1.0..1.06 nor TrainMaster... T&L is always on. I guess it's because different rigs are set up differently. **!!!** That's the only reason I can think of. Did you turn of UAC? I'm assuming you installed RT3 outside of the de...

Re: Australian steam locos
Very interesting reading, thank you! :) If any of you ever play my China 4 map for TM (still wondering whether it could be converted for ordinary RRT3...), one thing becomes evident. The need for reliable, economical mountain engines. I've often wondered whether Garratts of various kinds could have ...

Re: RT3 running on Windows 7
I just re-installed RRT 3 yesterday on my Windows 7-64 bit computer to check out whether there are any problems between RRT 3 and W7 these days. There were none. The installation went without problems: version 1.0 from the CDs, then updates 1.04, 1.05 and 1.06. I tested the game in every phase. No p...
