Re: Blackhawk says Hi

hmm schools that look exactly that same and aren't updated after several years.... maybe that's why the US's education is going downhill. I wish my schools all looked the same still. Every school I have graduated from has remodeled the year after I left. I see you left the Chicago area fairly young,...

Re: Blackhawk says Hi

I was more in the Northwest suburbs area, namely, Barrington/Lake Zurich. So I wasn't as close to the city as you were. And the suburbs of Chicago just keep getting more and more built up, which is sort of a shame in a way. I used to live near an old Nike Missile Silo base, but then it was abandoned...

Blackhawk says Hi

Well I guess if I'm posting some in the TM section I should finally introduce myself after being a lurker for over a year. (probably around 1.5 years?) Not much to really say, I'm from the midwest US, and grew up outside Chicago. Recently graduated law school and am currently searching for a job, an...

Re: Campaign Menus

They look good so far. You could add a little photoshopped news clipping... chimp breaths new life into old game or something giving yourself some credit for a good job !**yaaa

Re: Birth of a Nation (CA01)

Indeed apparently it is an acceptable phrase of speech. Although it also seems acceptable to use "ascends to the throne" or at least a google search results in a large number of results for either variation. I suppose I was looking too much at grammar that I missed the royalty's special ph...

Re: Birth of a Nation (CA01)

King is dead - "ascends the thrown" - probably should be "ascends to the thrown" If you're talking about the chair that the monarch sits on, it's spelled "throne". Hmm I should probably have proof-read a post on typos. Nice catch, that was actually my error not Neds, s...

Re: Birth of a Nation (CA01)

I'm not sure if the typos were fixed or not, but I played the map a day or two ago and skimmed thru the map in the editor tonight to see if there were any I didn't catch while playing. EUC Access 2: "Youve" should be You've GT - "increase" should be "increased" King is ...

Re: Persian Electric

I forgot to add I used diesels the entire time since I was not concerned with my speed.

I also just updated to the beta version of TM, and I still can't see the building for the rice fields. But if everyone else sees them then it must be something on my side.

Re: Persian Electric

Well I finished the scenario on hard. After having the initial infrastructure up it wasn't that bad. My biggest concern was getting enough troops, but that turned out to be just a matter of waiting for the years to go by til enough were transported. Although building a missile was difficult. A few t...

Re: Persian Electric

Thanks for the welcome Hawk, I've been a luker here for awhile and used to check in on the progress of Rail Mogul. Thanks for clarifying some of those things Ned. As for the rice patties, maybe one of the files for me just didn't transfer properly if no one else is having a problem with them. I went...

Re: Persian Electric

One more thing to add. I can't say I've had any real problem with train wrecks. I think I've got 8-9 trains and am 13 or so years into the map. I've had a few breakdowns, oddly often on my newest engines when they were just a year or two old, but so far I haven't had any crashes. And I'm using the i...

Re: Persian Electric

I was going to wait to post til after I finished playing the map, but I suppose I'll post now. As I see Hawk already brought up the Bandar-e Busehr nuke plant being built off the map over in Saudi Arabia. Some things I may comment on may intentionally have been made that way, but I'll post them as t...
