Re: What are your favorite goals?
Hey here's a radical idea. In real life you often have to change tack if things don't work out. So the goals you end up aiming for may be different to the ones you started with. The same could be done in an RT3 scenario. You could start with set goals, but have random events occurring which may or ...

Re: Hello from US!
Welcome to the forums. No news on another railroad game. One of the former developers of RT2 tried to get a kickstarter going for another game but it was not very successful as they had not done proper marketing and didn't have much of a demonstration of what the game could be like to draw in any at...

If that's the case may he rest in peace. It seems likely as I found this: http://www.navne.dk/dodsfald/anders-rob ... 93?lang=en (age may be 1 year off, but the name matches and the Vestre Chapel is in Aarhus which he listed as his location on his profile. )

Hawk will have to answer this question for you. But you may want to try PM'ing him on the forums or contacting him through the contact page on the website and letting him know what email you are trying to register with.

Re: Bmp2gmp dummies guide?
I'd try it myself but at the moment my RT3 my won't start. I'll have to try reinstalling it when I get a chance. You must be running one of them new fangled operating systems that doesn't like the old stuff. Just windows 7. Nothing too advanced compared to what is out there. For whatever reason, al...

Re: Bmp2gmp dummies guide?
Did you try opening up the file before it disappeared and seeing if that worked? Then you could just re-save it. Or I thought in my experience the tga file did not get deleted if the map never starts correctly, so if you were to add a locomotive or an industry that's in 1.06 and then go open it in 1...

Re: Bmp2gmp dummies guide?
If I remember correctly, somewhere in one of the RT3 folders a tga file is created temporarily when you start a map. Then after the map is populated/created, the TGA file disappears. It's possible to quickly grab this file sometimes, or I think if you intentionally make the map crash (i.e. have a mi...

I actually didn't even realize how small the file was until I uploaded it else where. (and I completely forgot about the ability to post files on the forums)

Hawk (the owner of the site) is currently away for a few days so he shut down the ability to register for the archives. When he returns you should be able to make an account. In the meantime, I uploaded that file you were looking for to a couple of other sites: http://www.megafileupload.com/69x8/new...

Welcome to the forums. Feel free to ask your questions on the forum in the appropriate subforum is necessary. If you browse the forums you'll find plenty of useful information. If you just want to play a map without having to worry about conditions or money, you can play in the sandbox mode. I found...

Re: Writing Events to simulate Labor Strikes and other things
Good luck with your scenario writing. Generally, scenarios that more than 50 years are difficult to test and harder to keep the player entertained in since it just lasts so long. If this scenario is going to last 100-200 years I would make sure you use the largest map size possible. For the Conrail ...

Not too sure what it could be. Do you still have video drivers installed after you removed the specific AMD program?

For #1: I don't remember scenario that used the & or | operator. If there was one it would probably have been one of Ned's in Trainmaster.

Re: Picking Up Freight Question
If you are playing regular RT3 and not the unofficial 1.06 version of it, then it depends on whether or not there is a price variation between station A and B and NY. Assuming the grain is worth more at station B than Station A, a train would pick it up on its trip to station B. Then at station B it...

That would be it! I knew it was in one of the threads with 1.06 in the title, but didn't have time to search through all the threads at the time of my last post. Thanks for finding it. Now whether or not that's what Kevin was looking for, that's another story.

Re: 1.06 New Buildings all look like Warehouses
I know at one time I made version of these 1.06 buildings that were reskinned versions of other buildings in the game. It only worked on newly built 1.06 buildings though and not buildings built before the "patch" was installed or on buildings pre-placed by a scenario. That said unfortunat...

You need to download the TM Rolling-Stock Developer Kit which has a java based method of packing/unpacking pk4 files. Gumboots wrote some nice instructions on how to use it: http://hawkdawg.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=3393&p=34584&hilit=pk4#p34583 Also I moved this post to the Letter...

What does the error message say when you try to run a setup file from the cd?
I don't know what problems your desktop is having, but if it still boots up you might want to try copying the RT3 directory on that computer to a USB drive and then copy the folder onto your laptop and see if that works.
